Today's first time driver is Shelbi, who has a 14 minute video. The video contains two main characters: Shelbi who says "Oh my god" every 30 seconds and her father who calms her down right after that with "It's OK".

Watch it, it's fantastic.

This video was taken on Thanksgiving this year, November 25, so Shelbi still has a long way to go until she gets her license. Hopefully she's more calm by now.

Hell of a DMV

Tolerance is important everywhere, and critical at some places. A DMV employee who takes homosexuality too seriously was recently forced to resign from his job because he lacked it.

The employee saw that a man named David changed his name to Amber, and remembered that he once learned that people who change their gender are usually homosexuals. He then sent Amber a letter condemning her to hell because of this "abomination".

Now he probably learned that you may have any opinion you like, but you need to keep it to yourself if you're giving a service.

Car Insurance for Students

Being a student isn't easy. Tuition fees can get very high and getting to college with your parents can be quite uneasy and embarrassing, so you buy a car. Paying insurance on a car is never easy, especially for students. Here is an article by Sandra Clinton about easing this payment.

Student Car Insurance

Okay, so every now and then people will suspect that faction they belong to gets charged more for car insurance, and most of the time they are wrong. An insurance company could get in a lot of trouble if they based their rates on race or gender. They will not make that easy of a mistake. Still, they are able to get away with charging younger people more. This is somewhat justified. Younger people are less responsible. This is because they have not been given a chance to prove their responsibility yet. So, if you are looking for student insurance, you might have to pay a little more because of your age. Still, there are ways to prove that you are responsible enough to have lower rates. You just need to prove to the insurance company that you are mature enough to have lower rates.

Student car insurance rates are sometimes determined by the grades that the student is getting. If you are getting higher grades your insurance company might charge you less for insurance. This is a good incentive to do well in school. If you are a student you probably don't have too much money to spend on student car insurance to begin with. So, try improving your grades to see if you can get a good deal!

There are other things that can help you with student car insurance. If your parents have low insurance rates then they can add you to their plans and that can save you a lot of money. It's always cheaper to get added to other people's plans for things. Just think about it. Cell phones, gyms, and just about everything is cheaper if you add yourself onto someone else's plan. So, talk to your parents about being put onto their plan. You can tell them that you will pay for your part, but you would like to get a deal by being on their plan.

Lastly, we should talk about the negative impression people have about student car insurance. Some people think that student car insurance is somehow not as good of an insurance policy as adult insurance. That is just ridiculous. If you do get in an accident, your insurance company should be able to help you out. They should be able to do just as much as they would do for an adult. That doesn't mean they will, but they should. So make sure you don't just go for the cheapest rate around.

Hopefully this will help you find great student car insurance. You might have to do some hunting but it will be worth it. Be clever, because you are trying to prove to the companies that you are more than just a kid. You are a responsible driver who wants to pay as little as possible for car insurance.

Thank you Sandra! This will definitely help many students out there.

Driving Through the Snow (With no One-Horse Open Sleigh)

It's Christmas, and as a result it's very snowy in many parts of the world. When snow comes along, it brings real trouble in driving. Snow lowers the traction of the tires until it becomes almost none, which makes steering very hard and driving very dangerous.

So, what do you do? Walk. Seriously. Driving in the snow is really dangerous. If you have snow chains you can try to drive, but slowly. Low speeds are the key in surviving this snow driving.

Well, it's Christmas. You don't have to go anywhere. Stay at home, open your presents, and enjoy the holiday.

Merry Christmas!

Avoid Failing the Test

Failing your driving test is really a pain. You have to practice again, focus on what you did wrong and try again later. Here is an article I wrote about avoiding this failure in the first place.

How To Avoid Failing In The Driving Test

There are so many people who are always looking for ways of passing their driving tests. However, it is always difficult for these people to pass these tests, not because they cannot, but simply because they fail to do the things that will guarantee them passing their tests. In this article, I would like to look at some of the things that you can do to ensure that you avoid failing the tests every now and again.

Always Be Prepared

The first thing that you need to do is to ensure that you are thoroughly prepared for the test. This doest not just mean that you need to study the theory and then know how to drive a car. Not at all. It means that you must do regular practice to the extent that you feel absolutely comfortable with driving the car. The reason why this is important of you are to pass your driving test is because when driving, you are likely to come across certain situations which will show whether you have perfected the art, or you are just fumbling behind the wills.

Have Enough Rest Before The Driving Test

Another thing that you need to focus on when you want to pass your DMV test is that you must have enough rest the day before you go to sit for the tests - both theorertical and practical. The reason why this is so is that if you do not have adequate rest you will find yourself in a situation whereby, you are tired and snappy during the test. If this happens to you, then you can be sure that you will not perform well during the exam. On the other hand, if you are composed and relaxed, then you will not really need to worry about the rest as you will be able to handle situations very calmly, something that will give you an upper hand when trying to make decisions.

Do Not Panic

The last thing that you need to look into if you would like to pass your road test is that you should never panic. If you panic during the exam time, then it is definite that you will find it pretty hard to make your decision properly. This can easily sell you out as someone who is not yet ready to earn a driving teat.

All in all, passing your driving test is something that you can do easily. This should actually not be something that should put a lot of pressure on you.

Driving Test Success is something that so many people yearn for. However, what most of them fail to realize that if one is filled with fear during the driving test, one cannot achieve much. If you want to pass your driving test, you must be able to master your fear. You can read more from this driving test guide for more information.

I hope this article helped you understand what you need to do in order to pass on your first try.

According to The Guardian, Nigeria is going to issue mandatory driving tests to all license applicants across the country.

Just to make it clear: up to now, you didn't have to take a test to get a license in Nigeria. As the article says, " ... the development is expected to curtail the issuance of the document to unauthorised persons ..." - you didn't have to get a license from the government!

Nigeria is moving one step closer to become a western country this way, but they still have a long way to go.

The Importance of Teen Car Insurance

Car insurance for teenagers is not cheap, but it's necessary. Teens are more vulnerable to accidents, so insuring them against all claims and suits is a must. Here is an article by Ricky Lim about this topic.

Teenage Car Insurance - Why it is Important to Buy Teen Auto Insurance

The policies for adding teenage car insurance can put a hole in your wallet. However, it is very important nowadays. It protects your teen and your car, just in case he or she has an accident.

If you are a family person, the safety of your children is always a priority. At least, with teenage car insurance, the cost of paying for an accident after it has happened will not be as costly as having no teen car insurance at all. The secret to it is to get the affordable coverage that you can. You can do this by comparing quotes and getting the deal that best works for you, your budget, and your lifestyle.

We advise you to save money on teenage car insurance. A number of car insurance companies regard drivers who are under the age of 25 as drivers who are more likely to encounter vehicle-related accidents. There is a high percentage of death and accidents involving vehicular situations with teenagers.

This often leads to a higher teenager auto insurance cost. But think of how much you would save. Let's say your teenager has an accident and you didn't have teens car insurance. You would have to pay for the hospital fees and the damage fees from your own pocket, without any assistance from the insurance company.

But don't let this be the reason for you to get those car keys from your teenager. You can actually save money and get the teenage car insurance for him or her. And when you do, you have to remind your teenager the following guidelines.

1. Maintain a clean driving record. He or she should remember that one DWI conviction is enough to increase the insurance. What is normally a couple of hundreds of dollars could amount to thousands of dollars for three years.

2. Insurance companies provide discounts on teenage auto insurance to those who go to school full time and have a 3.0 grade point average. Insurance agents provide discounts to those who are accredited to take driver safety courses and other programs that have been qualified by the state.

3. Be an active member in the community. By joining a particular community or civic organization like Girl Scouts or Eagle Scouts, your teenage can already get discounts. Least risky teens are those who help better the community.

4. Get a safe car. Teenager auto insurance may cost you 50 percent less if your teenager is driving a safer car like a Volvo or a Honda Civic. Newer model cars that come with airbags are also less expensive because there are the safest for any teenager to drive.

Expensive cars, SUVs, high performance cars, and sports cars put teenagers at a greater risk so these are more expensive.

5. Add safety features like automatic seat belts, traction control, side impact air bags and anti-lock brakes in order to reduce the accident rate of your teenager.

Hopefully it'll last until March. We really need this rain.

Why People Fail

The driving test score sheet has many ways to fail in it, but usually it takes only one major mistake to ruin one test. Here are three common reasons that make people fail.

3 Reasons Why People Fail Their Driving Test

To say the truth, no one should fail the road test. The reason why this is so is because there are very many people who pass the test and who are not unique from you and me, to the extent that no one should have any excuse whatsoever. After all, there is really nothing special about driving a car. It should therefore not in any way be more stressful than leaning how to walk. However, the truth of the matter is that there are so many people who fail the driving test, to the extent that people feel as if there is some secret to passing the test. In this article, I would like to look at three reasons why people do fail the driving test.

Speeding

It is always important for someone to keep to the speed limit to ensure that you do not fail your exam. A lot of people do fail the tests simply because they are not within the speed limit. In addition to that, you also need to show that you are keen about the current situation on the ground.

Near Crashes

The other reason why people do fail their DMV tests is because of near crashes. This refers to situations whereby one is not really in tune with the environment that is surrounding him and therefore fails to take into account the other road users. Having a near crash is a rather serious mistake and can easily cause you to lose your chance to get a driving license.

Lack Of Adequate Preparation

The other reason why people fail their driving tests is because of lack of adequate preparation. For you to pass your driving tests, then you must be willing and able to prepare early. This will enable you to prepare thoroughly. On the other hand if you fail to prepare thoroughly, your amateurish tendencies will be pretty obvious and it will be quite hard for you to show that you have really prepared for the same.

To be honest with you, there are many other reasons why people fail their driver's license tests, and it is not possible to ensure that all this information is placed here. For this reason, it is important that you first look at the reasons that have been listed here before going to have a look at the other options available. This way, you will actually know that you have dealt with the things that are most basic.

Driving test success is something that so many people yearn for. However, what most of them fail to realize that if one is filled with fear during the driving test, one cannot achieve much. If you want to pass your driving test, you must be able to master your fear. You can read more from this driving test guide for more information.

Hope you found this article useful.

Don't Smoke and Drive

Six months ago, a study found that using marijuana before driving has a very little effect on the driver. However, the study was in Connecticut. Colorado, on the other hand, wants to limit the use of the drug before driving.

The Colorado government wants to set a threshold for THC, the active chemical of marijuana, which will define what is "stoned" and what is not. Drivers caught with concentrations above this threshold will be considered "driving while stoned".

Please notice that it's illegal to drive under the influence of drugs in Colorado (and generally across the US), but this law will help officers to determine whether a driver is "high" or not, since the situation right now is vague.

Hopefully the new laws will save some lives.

Cheap Insurance for Young Drivers

The group that suffers most from high insurance quotes is young drivers. To help you with that, here is an article by David J. Henderson that will show you how to reduce this price.

Cheap Car Insurance For Young Drivers - How to Get the Best Deals in Minutes Right Now

When a young driver is involved in accident, it can be very costly because the price of the policy will rise drastically and this is why it is important to find cheap car insurance for young drivers. Nowadays, finding a cheap car insurance coverage for young drivers is no longer an impossible job due to the highly growing competitions among insurance providers. Online shopping is one of the best ways to find cheap car insurance for new drivers in the sense that there are lot of free websites that provide free online insurance policies and quotes.

One of the requirements for a young driver to get a cheap car insurance policy is to pass one or more advanced driving courses as a means of proving that you are a good and safe driver as well. For parents, it is better to send your young children to driving school instead of teaching them by yourselves so that they will not only be able to learn to drive properly but at the same time they will also be entitled for a driving school discount which most insurance companies offer.

Another thing to consider is the model and the brand of the car of the young driver. The older the model that the young driver drives, the cheaper the insurance policy will be. Although most teens would want a brand new sports car, it is probably not a good idea as the insurance premiums will be sky high. A better alternative is to give them an older model vehicle that is reliable.

Imposing a driving curfew for teenage drivers is also a better idea in order to avoid the probability of an accident or collision which might be a result on alcoholic drinks and other vices that most teenagers are engage in. So parents, be strict with your young drivers regarding "drinking and driving" as they may be more prone to engage in such behavior.

Finally, use the internet in search of insurance quotes, invite quotes from a number of online insurance websites and conduct comparisons among them. This would not only enable you to acquire a good insurance policy for young drivers but also familiarize one with the general terms and conditions pertaining to the form of insurance. New drivers usually have lesser disposable income than the older drivers and often are supported by parents therefore being able to secure a cheap automobile insurance policy can ease the pressure on the budget.

Also Pay Close Attention To This:

The Non-Mergers

Sometimes lanes end and everyone on the ending lanes must merge into an adjacent lane (or crash, but no one takes that option). Some people are so bad at this that they almost cause accidents. Others are just bullies during slow traffic and try to squeeze even though it's not their turn.

I don't know if there is a law for that, but it's pretty common sense that when lanes are merging and traffic is slow, one car from each lane should proceed at a time (car from lane A, then from lane B, then lane A, and so on). Some people don't even have this common sense and they think that if they push hard enough they'll fit in.

Usually, their thinking is wrong. Sometimes it's even dangerous. Bumper to bumper accidents happen because of these people, and insurance companies have huge bureaucratic expenses because of that.

People need to develop some patience for others. Some patience in general won't hurt either.

The Big Written Test Secret

Getting a driver's license is a process with many steps. One of the first steps is passing a written test, which can be difficult for some people. Here is an article I wrote about passing it easily and moving on to the next step.

The Secret To Passing The Written Driving Test

Whenever people hear of a driving test, the first thing that comes into their minds is the practical tests. This is understandable because it is what has proven to be the most terrifying for people who are trying to sit for their driving tests. It is the panic that comes with driving on a live road that makes people feeling so apprehensive about the practical tests. Unfortunately, some people may easily find themselves in a situation whereby they pay too much attention on the practical test forgetting the fact that there is another side of the driving tests: the written exams.

The first thing that you need to do to ensure that you pass your exams is that you need to study a lot. When studying, you need to make sure that you understand concepts and reasons for certain actions rather than trying to memorize these things. Although there are many people who have managed to acquire the driving licenses through cramming, this is not the best way to do it. You need to make sure that you have a full understanding of what you are reading.

The second "secret" to passing the written test is to have enough rest just before the test. This is an extremely important thing to consider and it is important that the person who is going to sit for the written driving test prepares enough. However, this preparation would not be done at the expense of the rest that should be enjoyed by the person who is going to sit for the test. If you make the mistake of doing that, then you will go to the testing room tired and worn out, and unable to remember a lot of basic things about driving.

Lastly, you also need to take into account the fact that you need to be very thorough when it comes to sitting for the exam. The reason why this is extremely important is that you need to read all the questions carefully before going ahead to answer any question. If you fail to do this and then you rush to answer the questions, you can find yourself failing the test not because you do not know the answer to the questions, but simply because you were in a rush that was really of no use to you.

These three things will be very helpful to you if at all you would want to pass the driving tests that you will be facing.

Driving test success is something that so many people yearn for. However, what most of them fail to realize that if one is filled with fear during the driving test, one cannot achieve much. If you want to pass your driving test, you must be able to master your fear. You can read more from this driving test guide for more information.

I hope this article helped you.

A German Revision

The USAREUR, a driving test that determined whether US military members and civilans can navigate on Germany's roads, has recently went through a revision. This test had very high failure rates, so it was revised to make it clearer and easier.

A US military official said that the main reason for failure is that people don't read the manual becuase they think the test is just like in the US. However, Germany is very different and it requires a different mindset.

The new test has 100 questions, 25 road signs, and no time limit. The allowed number of wrong answers still stands on 15.

Hopefully more people will pass now and be less frustrated.

Compare Auto Insurance Online

It's another Monday, which means it's time for more insurance tips. Getting the best auto insurance quote depends on smart comparison between the different companies. Here is an article by Muneeb Ahmed about doing it well.

Online Auto Insurance Quotes Comparison

Searching for auto insurance quotes can take up a lot of your time. When switching companies, the main goal is to find a company that does not charge as much as your previous insurance provider. If you're familiar with insurance, then you know that rates go up and down all of the time. It's part of the competition between providers and also one of the ways that most companies make the majority of their profits.

Fortunately, you're the one who is ultimately in control of how much you pay for auto insurance. Much of what you will pay is based on your previous driving history. If you've got a bad driving record, expect to pay more. Depending on how severe your driving record, the price you pay may be significantly higher. People who have a long list of traffic tickets accidents usually have to pay hundreds more in auto insurance per month than those who otherwise do not.

With that being said, if you don't have a bad driving record, it's best that you do your best to keep it that way. Just by wearing your seat belt, watching your speed, and paying attention to other drivers, you can effectively eliminate having to pay more for car insurance in the future. Another way to make sure that you receive a low quote is to add safety features to your vehicle. The more safety features your vehicle has, the lower your premium.

Pay attention to the forms you fill out as well as the questions that your insurance agent asked during the quote process. If you're not familiar with what the agent is saying, you may just end up paying for additional services that you do not want. Some people want added services. However, those who are simply obtaining insurance to drive and drive only are not usually interested in anything extra.

Auto insurance quotes will also vary depending on what type of insurance you want. Full coverage insurance usually costs a little more than simple liability. If you're searching for the cheapest possible price, it's best to apply for simple liability, which in some cases isn't a good idea, especially if you need full coverage - but it's definitely the cheapest option available.

Make sure that you are honest about why you need insurance. Is your vehicle used for company purposes? If so, you'll need to pay extra. Paying a little more for additional services that you need is not always a bad thing. In the end, you'll end up paying a lot more if something were to happen. It's always best to take all the necessary precautions to make sure that you're doing what's best for you and your overall safety.

Check our website for more information at Auto Insurance Quotes.

Insurance for Young Drivers

Car insurance can be a real pain for teenagers. It costs the most for people who don't have it, and their parents have to pay for it. Here is an article by Chimezirim Chinecherem Odimba (what a long name, wow) about lowering this price for young drivers.

Really Cheap Auto Insurance - How A Young Driver Can Get It

Age is a factor that could cost you dearly in car insurance but you can also get really cheap auto insurance rates because of it if you know what you're doing. For those who fall into the under-25 age bracket, there are ways to still let this work for you and not against you. You can also focus on just lowering your risk factor if the other options don't really appeal to you...

1. Getting married will help you get really cheap auto insurance rates with a good number of insurance companies if you are under 25. This is not a practical joke. It works.

Being under 25, male and single will attract a far higher premium than otherwise. It is a known fact that those three factors easily suggest a tendency to recklessness (statistically!).

Still along these lines, few things have as much sobering effect on young people as marriage. Your driving is affected positively by the mere thought of having people who depend solely on you and whom you can't afford to let down. Your car insurance rates are, therefore, lowered considerably in spite of your age (once you are married) for this reason.

2. As an under 25, you can enjoy really cheap auto insurance premiums if you use your parents' policy. Your parents certainly belong to a lower risk age group.

You have to bear in mind, though, that the car must be registered in their name and you must be living with them if you want to take advantage of this option. If you want to own your car, then be the big boy or girl and also own the higher premiums. Sorry, you can't have both with this option. However, you can still make huge savings by following the link at the end of this piece.

3. It is certainly not possible, in just one short article, to exhaust the many ways you can get really cheap auto insurance. However, researching all the ways possible for you to make huge savings in your car insurance is certainly worth it.

Notwithstanding how much you research, getting as many quotes as possible and comparing them for the best rate still remains the quickest way of getting really cheap auto insurance. Do note that the savings possible could be up to $1000 or even much more.

The task of searching and picking reputable sites for these quotes could be tasking and time intensive for. For your convenience, I've researched the best sites and listed them here. Just click them and you'll soon be enjoying really cheap auto insurance.

Here are my favorite pages for auto insurance quotes...

The Disadvantages of Two Lane Freeways

Freeways are great roads. They are definitely my favorite roads, and I go on them whenever I can. However, if they have only two lanes, they can easily turn into a huge nightmare.

The reason for that is trucks. The freeway near me has a speed limit of 110 km/h (about 70 mph). When a truck that goes 85 km/h (53 mph) wants to pass a truck that goes at 80 km/h (50 mph), everyone has to slow down. This is a real annoyance.

The solution to that is expanding the road to three lanes. It is wider in some segments, and traffic is really flowing in there. However, when the lanes go back to two, there are really big traffic jams in there.

Hopefully the entire road will be expanded soon, so driving there will be a pleasure once again.

The Importance of Rest

It's Black Friday today, and I'm sure you've been rushing to every possible store to do your holiday shopping. Now it's the time to relax and read about the importance of rest in the driving test.

The Place Of Rest In Passing Your Driving Test

If you ask someone to tell you what is the secret to passing your road test, that person is most likely going to tell you that you need to be prepared. Well, that is extremely true. However, one thing that people avoid talking about when it comes to discussing about passing the driving test is the issue of rest. In this article, I would like to look at this very important issue, which when applied as it should be, will definitely go a long way in increasing the pass rates amongst people who are sitting for their driving tests.

It Helps In Panic Reduction

One of the reasons why people fail their driver's license tests is because of the fact that they do panic during the driving tests. The reason why people do panic is because they fail to prepare well, they have been intimidated by those who have sat for the test before, or they simply have not taken enough rest. The ultimate consequence of panicking is that you are likely to find it very hard to make the right decisions as your mind will not in apposition that it should be.

Avoids Irritability

Another reason why rest is an extremely important ingredient in any plan that is aimed at making one pass one's driving test is because the rest reduces the irritability in an individual. It is important to realize that people who have not rested are usually snappy and irritable. The consequence of this is that they find themselves in a situation whereby they are easily irritated by small things simply because they are tired. When the examiner sees that you cannot control yourself especially when you are behind the wheels, then you are likely not going to be able to get you driving license anytime soon.

It Brings To Remembrance A Lot Of Information

Lastly, if you take a lot of rest, then you are likely to remember a lot of things. This is something that is important whether you are sitting the theoretical or the practical tests. On the other hand, if you do not take a lot of rest, then you are likely to go into the exam room and then realize that you have forgotten a couple of things.

Definitely, rest is not the only thing that you should have if you are to pass your exams. However, it is an important ingredient if at all you are to achieve what you are supposed to get in the long run.

Driving test success is something that so many people yearn for. However, what most of them fail to realize that if one is filled with fear during the driving test, one cannot achieve much. If you want to pass your driving test, you must be able to master your fear. You can read more from this driving test guide for more information.

This is post number 993 in this blog, which means that next Friday will be post 1,000. Trust me, you'll really want to read it.

Happy Black Friday!

There aren't many details except the date, which was November 17, and the car, which was a cube van. The police are keeping the information to themselves.

Hopefully this criminal driver will go to jail for a long time. Driving without a license after hitting someone is nothing less than a murder.

Compare Auto Insurance

It's another Monday of auto insurance. Once again, Sarah Anne Miller is giving us great tips about insurance. This time it's about comparing between the different companies.

How to Compare Auto Insurance - The 3 Critical Tips to Know

Understanding how to compare auto insurance is never easy, especially if you are not familiar with the things that make for a good insurance company. This article will put you miles ahead of the field, by revealing the 3 things across which all comparisons must be made for maximum results. You'll never get another bad insurance quote again after reading this so let me get right into it.

1. Try to Use an Independent Company
To avoid being locked into a narrow comparison chart you'll need to ensure that the company you use to compare rates or quotes is an independent one. Independent companies are able to give you multiple quotes across several providers and this will allow you to work out the best deal for you in terms of cost and benefits.

You'll also get the benefit of being able to compare a wider pool of providers as opposed to the handful you may encounter if you use a small time company for the comparison.

2. Have a Clear Idea of Your Goals
When comparing insurance companies you must have a clear idea of what your goals are. More than likely you'll be looking to make the biggest savings but bear in mind that the cheapest coverage may not give you the best protection. You need to strike a balance between the two. Luckily, when you make a comparison, you'll also see in a nutshell what the benefits of each provider are to you.

3. Use an Online Company for Your Comparison
This is a big one, and one that is often overlooked by most people. The benefits of using an online company is that quotes or rates are delivered much quicker and the information required of you is minimal compared to using an offline company. There no requirements to fill in any forms except the ones you'll see online and often to get started all you need to have to hand is your zip code.

Using an online company also allows for a much faster due diligence process. This is easy because if a provider has performed poorly to it's customers, you can make an instant search and locate this information online.

Understanding the three things above is all there is to grasping how to compare auto insurance. Often people get it wrong by not having these things clearly laid out in their minds. You are now in a better position to get a money-saving quote.

Look for Auto Parts

Auto parts are not hard to find, but knowing how to reduce their price is an art. Here is an article I wrote about this topic.

Advance Auto Parts Discount Code - Two Obstacles To Avoid

The reason why you are here, I believe, is because you see the Advance Auto Parts discount code as a great resource that no one should ignore. The reason why I am saying this is because lots of people see the codes as some of form of gold. Indeed, it is some form of gold because it enables people like you and me to save on the amount of money that we would need to spend in order to posses some high quality auto parts. However, like I would tell any person out there who is looking for gold, "not everything that glitters is gold." So, what next?

Here are three things that you must keep of from:

Spammy Websites

The first thing that you need to really run away from is spammy websites. These websites are those that from the look of it has got plenty of pop ups and plenty of advertisements that seem irrelevant to the topic in question which is Advance Auto Parts discount code. Here, you will have advertisement of things such as wallpaper, cursors, ringtones and so on. Such advertisements are usually an indication of the fact that the site is not properly maintained. The consequence of this is that as you would be checking over the page, a harmful program might be crawling inside your computer.

Websites With Outdated Information

Another thing that you will need to look at keenly is the issue of the websites which have got outdated information. Although you may not be able to check it early, you will just see that the website has got information that is not current by looking at some of the "latest offers" that it has. If you realize that the so called offers are outdated even for a single day, then know that is the kind of website that is likely to let you down completely. You will find yourself using the information from the website only for you to, find out that the code that is in question is already expired and that you have wasted your time looking for something that really is of no value at all.

Generally, one thing that you must constantly keep in mind that you can never be too careful when it comes to these things. The best thing that you should do is to ensure that you have the best information possible and make sure that use it to your advantage so that the Advance Auto Parts discount code will be of use to you.

If you would like to buy great auto spare parts without spending your life savings on them, then you need to check out for the best Advance Auto Parts discount code.

The Benefits to Look for on Insurance

When looking for car insurance, there are some factors you need to consider. Here is an article by Sarah Anne Miller that explains exactly what you need to look for.

Best Auto Insurance Carriers - The Top 4 Benefits To Look For

The best auto insurance carriers will high on benefits and very low on disappointments. This article will help you to identify those benefits you should be aiming for. You see it's not just about getting insured, there's a real litmus test that has to be applied. After reading this article you'll be able to apply this test and make the best of any insurance policy you choose - from a top notch provider of course.

Benefit #1 - High Payout Frequency
Many times people get insured and everything is fine until they have to make a claim. This is the single biggest benefit that you should focus on when choosing a carrier since no payout means an absolute defeat of being insured in the first place.

Benefit #2 - Low Deductible Requirement
One of the inherent costs associated with insurance is the deductible. This amount represents the money that you'll have to fund towards any accident. This amount varies from carrier to carrier, but you should always aim to go with one that has a low initial deductible requirement. You can always increase the amount to save on the quote, but in the initial phase, you should always chose a low amount.

Benefit #3 - Courtesy Car/Roadside Assistance
The cost of insurance is very high these days and so if you are going to pay a lot, you should get a lot. Benefits like a courtesy car (should yours have to go into the shop) are important in giving you a bit of continuity and convenience. You should also choose carriers that have roadside assistance built in as a standard part of their policies.

Benefit #4 - Low Upfront Costs
Like I said in benefit number 3, insurance is costly these days. But this doesn't mean you shouldn't try to save money. Choose carriers that allow for a reduction in initial quotes. This can be achieved by mentioning the addition of things lie alarms and immobilizers.

A good carrier will also allow you to save on costs by taking defensive driving courses and by also getting rid of any expensive modifications that may have been on your car for a previous policy.
There you have it, four of the key benefits that any top notch carrier will bring to any policy you choose. Remember, the best auto insurance carriers should always live up to this accolade. You now have a sound criteria for testing their claim to greatness.

Driving a New Car

One of the most important things when driving is the connection with the car. When you start driving a new car, you need to adapt.

Last week I drove a Toyota Corolla with a robotic gear for the first time in my life. The robotic gear was quite annoying (felt like a manual driven by a first time driver), but everything else was quite great. The wheel was very smooth. There was no resistance at all.

Getting used to the brakes was also a process. Every car has different brakes, and it takes a while to get used to them, a little like trying to brake with your left foot (don't try it on major roads, trust me). You need to get the feeling of it.

For now, I have to go back to the previous car I was driving. However, hopefully I'll buy a new car next year, so I'll have a new car to get used to.

Getting Insurance for 17-Year-Olds

Car insurance for new drivers is quite expensive, especially for 17 year olds. However, the rates can be reduced if you look for at the right places. Here is an article I wrote about this topic.

17 Year Old Car Insurance - Are You a Parent Having Trouble Keeping Up With Payments?

It can be quite challenging for a 17 year old to find car insurance. Affordable plans are hard to come by-especially for younger drivers. Still, there are ways in which you can find inexpensive policies for your teen. There are also some things your son or daughter can do themselves to decrease the costs.

To begin with, they can drive a sensible vehicle. These days, fast, sports cars are considered to be high risk. Young drivers are better off waiting until their mid-twenties before driving fast cars. For now, make sure your teen is driving a not-so-risky vehicle in order to save a lot of money.

Sometimes, companies will give 17 year olds car insurance at discount prices if they make good grades. If your teen maintains good grades, check to see if this is an option in your area. If so, you could encourage your 17 year old to work hard at school by rewarding him or her with a car.

Try keeping your deductibles high. One way you can do this is by not turning any minor incidents in. Only inform the insurance companies whenever your vehicle is involved in a bad accident. If you keep the deductibles high enough, you can save a lot of money over the next few years.

Do some shopping around. There are comparison charts on the internet. You can also get free quotes online. Some sites even offer multiple quotes at once! See what you can find if you want your 17 year old to have car insurance.

Don't be letdown if you're having trouble keeping up with insurance payments for both you and your 17 year old. Car insurance for 17 year old teens can be affordable, and there are plenty of discounts that your teen may be eligible for.

Hopefully this article helped you.

Bad News for Young Drivers-to-Be

Starting January 2012, the DSA (Britain's DMV) will no longer publish written driving test questions. The practice questions that will be available will not be questions in the test.

This move is done to make people actually learn the rules and not only memorize the answers. DSA officials hope that this way the roads will be safer.

I think that it won't help a single bit. Driving is a practical skill, not theoretical like math. Making roads safer doesn't start at the DSA's written test, it starts at home. If someone's parents are crazy drivers, he or she won't become an example of slowness.

Hopefully the DSA will find better ways to improve road safety in Britain.

Steps for Passing the DMV Permit Test

The DMV permit test is the biggest step between you and actually driving. Passing it is not difficult, but you still need to prepare. Here is an article by Frank S Sham that will help you understand how to prepare well.

What Do You Need To Do To Pass Your DMV Test The First Try?

Have you ever tried to take a drivers permit test? Did you fail? Unfortunately you're not the only one, actually about 70% fail the first time they take the permit test and they need to try once again. It can be quite frustrating to take it one more time since you'll probably have to wait in a line for quite some time, maybe several hours, and you will have to pay the fee again. It's obviously better to pass the drivers permit test the first time you try and it's actually not that difficult to succeed, you just need to know how to do it.

So what can you do to avoid having to go back and do the permit test all over again? Well, what you can and should do is to use a great package that gives you the opportunity to do a permit practice test. By doing that you'll be able to learn more about the procedure and it will feel like you've already got the answer to every question when it's time for you to do the real drivers permit test. This is a perfect method to use if you want to pass the DMV test on your first try.

So how can you get one of those packages that will help you make it all the way? It's actually not that difficult, not if you've got access to the Internet. You can order a DMV practice test from a web shop and the price is usually quite low. It's also worth the money you pay since you will avoid plenty of extra fees by passing the DMV test the first time you write it.

It's always good to be prepared and the best thing you can do in order to succeed is to order a learners test or several of those in order to prepare yourself for the upcoming DMV test. The questions in the permit practice test comes directly from the official study manual for the real tests and they are frequently updated, actually several times every week. You will be able to succeed with your upcoming test if you take this chance to get prepared. The wisest thing to do in a case like this is to practice and practice even more. You can be one of the 30% that passes the exam at their first try, and that would certainly be a relief, don't you think?

Permit Test experts has been helping people to pass their DMV test the first try. So far, over 42,000 people have been successful with our practice permit questions. For more info, go to http://www.driving-permit-test.com/

What You Need to Pass

Passing the driving test is not an easy mission, but it can be. Using the proper techniques and applying the right tips will get you a lovely license in no time. Here is an article I wrote about it.

Everything About Driving Tests

A normal driving test is made up of two parts: a theory part and the practical test. You must first pass the theoretical test to get on to the practical one. Although it sounds easy, it is not! Many people fail it and kill their chance of getting their driver license. However, if you do your homework, this test is not difficult at all. The standard theoretical test consists of two parts. First, you need to select the right answer to questions from a number of choices. The second part is the hazard perception test. You will be shown a series of video clips and you must click a button as fast as you can when you see a hazard. That's it! The hard part is the practical test. Here is what you need to know about it.

The practical test is made to test your ability to control the vehicle and avoid risks. For example, most driving inspectors look to see if you can make proper turns, respect the warning signs found on the road, make proper use of your lights, park in a civilized manner, and drive backwards. Now, these things do not sound very hard to do, but think about how anxious you are and how easily you can make a mistake. The test usually lasts for 40 minutes. Also, if you have any disabilities, you will need to show the inspector that you can use any special controls in your vehicle.

A thing most people forget about is the vehicle safety. Each candidate must respond to two vehicle safety questions to show the inspector they can spot problems. These questions are usually related to brakes, lights, tyres, direction, horns, reflectors, and fluids. If you fail the practical test, don't worry. You have two years to pass it before you need to take the theoretical test again. However, we are sure you will pass it from the first try! Also, please keep in mind that you need to pay a fee for each test, so passing it on your first attempt will save you good money.

The best thing to do when preparing for your test is to get a good driving test guide. It contains very useful information about what you should and should not do when the inspector is right beside you. Also, it contains insight on what inspectors like to see and what they would penalize you for. Professional driving guides are easy to find and always prove themselves to be valuable assets for the candidate.

In order for you to succeed and take your driving test from the first try, you should consider getting a good driving test guide. It contains very useful information about what you should and should not do when the inspector is right beside you, and many more!

Hope you found this article useful,

New Jersey Goes Electronic

Electronic traffic tickets are becoming a new standard in many New Jersey towns. This system makes ticketing very easy and much quicker than the manual tickets that officers have been issuing until now.

When issuing a ticket, all the officer has to do is swipe a driver's license, choose an offense from a menu, and issue the ticket. For parking violations, a car number is enough. This system reduces mistakes and dismissed tickets.

Hopefully the number of New Jersey road criminals will go down. Wether it works or not, they made a smart investment.

Cars sometimes have feelings. If you leave them alone, they might start driving on their own. Especially when leaving them running on reverse. For the end of October, here is a fantastic video showing exactly what can happen.

Hopefully you won't do such nonsense on November!

Better Safe and Sorry?

Everyone heard, at least once, "better safe than sorry". This is true for almost everything. But when it comes to driving, some people take this sentence way too far. Far enough to become safe and sorry.

For example, some people interpret this phrase as "drive 20 km/h below the speed limit" at the middle of the night, when there is no traffic. Doing so is annoying enough, and it night it becomes a real danger. Some people go over the speed limit, and the speed differences can be quite high. A crash at 50 km/h can be deadly.

On the road be smart and safe. Don't reduce your speed for no reason. It can be more dangerous than speeding.

Have a great weekend,

Q&A for the Test

Almost everyone who is planning to take the driving test has some questions about it. Here is an article I wrote about the most popular questions.

Driving Test Questions and Answers

First of all, when preparing for your driving test, you shouldn't be afraid. The inspector is not there to help you fail but to make sure you are not a threat to yourself and other drivers. Also, make sure you are well prepared, know what he is looking for, and be very alert. The inspector should treat you with respect and courtesy and be fair with you. If you encounter any problems, contact the office manager to resolve the situation. In any case, don't get nervous. The test lasts just 20 minutes, so you have nothing to worry about. Here are a few of the most common questions candidates ask us and here is what we answer.

Who must take the test? Well, the answer is pretty simple. People who don't have a license in another state (foreign licenses make no difference), people who have vision related problems, people who possess limited term licenses for physical and/or mental conditions, people who possess a provisional or probationary license, and people who have been licensed in another state but are unable to surrender the driving license.

Are driving test the same? Yes, tests for Class C driver licenses are the same for everyone. Adult drivers take the same test as teenage drivers do. If the driver has a physical or mental condition, special versions of driving tests may be used, containing additional elements.

How do I prepare for my test? First of all, you should get enough practice. Minors need at least 50 hours of behind the wheel training, 10 of which are required to be night driving. Whenever you practice, consider your accompanying driver an inspector and ask him to tell you where you made mistakes. Correct those mistakes! If you are confused, ask him to clarify the situation for you. Practice every driving maneuver available to make sure the examiner agrees with the fact that you can handle your vehicle under normal driving conditions. Always obey the rules of the road and never ever exceed the speed limit. Don't drive too close to the minimum limit either or the examiner will think you aren't skilled enough.

Last, but not least, you should get a good driving guide to help you with insight on what examiners look for and what they don't like to see. In such guides you can also find very useful tips and tricks, as well as general information about the test. The driving test guide can be your best help if you read it thoroughly.

In this article we have answered the most important questions when it comes to taking your first driving test. Regardless, you should get your own driving test guide to help you with useful advice and tips.

Hope it helped you,

First Time Driving: Amanda

It's another Thursday, which means it's the time for another first time driver. This time it's Amanda, a name we had before, driving with her father and scaring him.

This video is from November 2009, so Amanda probably has her license by now. If not, she is probably very close, and hopefully her father isn't scared any more.

Good luck!

Over-Surprising Test

Everyone who ever took a driving test has a weird story from the test. However, a teen from Lebanon, Cincinnati definitely has a leader. During his driving test, the examiner and he spotted a naked man walking down the street.

The man is Richard Stout, and apparently this isn't the first time he has done this. Once again, he was charged with public indecency and arrested him.

It is unknown wether the teen passed or not, but one thing is sure - he will never forget this test.

Some More Tips for the Test

Tips for the driving test never end, and luckily there are enough people to write about them. Today it's Brad Jamieson's turn to give his insights about the test.

How to Pass Your Driving Test - These Tips Can Help You Do It

Learning how to drive is a rite of passage all of us go through at some point. Knowing how to pass your driving test will help prevent you having to take the exam a number of times. You might not pass first time but if you follow these tips you should have passed by your second attempt.

I would recommend that you learn to drive using the services of a qualified instructor rather than a family member or friend. It is said that your partner should never teach you how to drive as you are quite likely to fall out numerous times during the lessons. But more importantly, learning how to drive an automobile from someone who isn't a qualified instructor can mean that you pick up their bad habits. Once you have been driving for any length of time, you will become lazy on certain things and while these habits won't cause an accident, they may cause you to fail your test. Driving to pass your test is slightly different from the way you will probably end up driving on a regular basis.

You need to get plenty of practice. It just isn't possible to pass a driving test without having put in hours of practice. There are certain maneuvers you need to get right as well as learning the theory side of the exam. You should never practice on your own. You will probably not be insured. Most States have legal requirements as to who can accompany learner drivers and you should find out what your local regulations are. You do not want to fall foul of the driving authorities before you have even taken your test.

Driving rules and regulations can differ considerably from State to State so it makes sense to become familiar with the requirements in your locality. Most States allow you to sit the test three times but if you fail on the third attempt, they will not allow you to sit the exam again for a certain period of time.

In most States you are required to pass a written exam as well as the practical driving test. There really is no excuse for not passing the written theory paper. There are plenty of books and guides teaching the material you need to know and let's face it, if more people knew the theory of driving, we would have fewer accidents on our roads. So don't let yourself down by failing to study properly. If you prefer an interactive method of study, you could chose to do an online driving course to help with your preparation.

You will be nervous taking the exam but that is to be expected. On the day of your test, relax and remember that so long as you have completed your lessons and practiced your new skills, you should be fine. Concentrate on the task in hand and forget about everything else. You can only do your best but with practice and application, you may just be able to forget about learning how to pass your driving test and concentrate on saving for your first automobile.

Summer Days Are Back

Summer is gone for over a month for the residents of the Northern Hemisphere, and still unbelievably hot days are here again.

This, of course, affects driving. I entered my car yesterday to find it showing 38°C (100°F). The first thing I did right after the engine started was to turn on the air conditioning on full power. Otherwise, I'd be cooked.

I know there is global warming, but why can't it come only in the summer? Why do we have to suffer summer driving in October?

Have What it Takes to Pass

Having what it takes to pass the driving test is not as easy as it sounds. It requires preparation, dedication, and time. Here is an article I wrote about getting everything to pass the test easily.

Do You Have What It Takes to Pass Your First Driving Test?

In order to pass your driving test successfully from the first try, you must be prepared. Do you have what it takes to pass your first driving test? If you are unsure, this article will shed some light on what you need to know and how you should prepare. First, we will begin with your practice. Before even thinking about taking a driving test, you must practice hands on with the car. You must drive and build confidence in your driving skills. You must make sure you always see road signs and traffic lights. If you miss even one traffic light, you will fail the test.

The examiner will be very polite and friendly, so there is no need to fear him. Fear yourself! He is there to ensure you are not a danger to yourself, to other drivers, or to pedestrians. This is why it is crucial that you always be on the lookout for signs, lights, and potential threats. Teach yourself to look in the mirrors regularly to prevent any car from taking you by surprise. The best way to drive is to drive defensively, anticipating any mistakes other drivers can make. This way you show your examiner that you are able to prevent an accident.

You will have to be confident in your driving skills, this is why you should drive around on each test route at least a few times (there are usually 10-15 test routes per driving center) until you are comfortable and know every street sign and light. You must also be able to park the car in tight spots. Don't imagine the inspector will ask you to squeeze it in impossible places, but it is best to have great parking skills. Further more, pay attention to details! Adjusting the seat to your body height and position, as well as adjusting the mirrors before you start the engine are signs of cautiousness. Don't forget to check to see if all doors are properly closed. We don't want to lose the examiner along the way do we?

Although these advices are the best you can get, you can find many more in a good driving test guide. You can find them quite easily and should read them thoroughly. You will learn what examiners want from you, how they expect you to behave, examples of common mistakes, things to avoid, and lots of insightful tips and tricks. A good driving test guide can make the difference between you taking the test in the first time and you failing it.

All you need are good driving skills, confidence in your ability to properly drive a vehicle, and a positive attitude. A good driving test guide is also extremely helpful, providing all the info you need to pass your first driving test. Don't be nervous, you won't fail!

Hope you learned something,
