Portable Speed Traps

I have a feeling that the police have more speed traps than ever. I found one almost every highway I drove on. I don't mean the usual speed cameras, but cops with a laser speed detector.

Fortunately, no harm was done. I usually drive a little faster than allowed (yes, I know. Very hypocritical of me), but no faster than other cars. I blend in with traffic, so my chances are pretty slim.

However, it's still pretty scary to see this device. The last thing I need now is a speeding ticket.

Avoid to Pass

Driving tests can be categorized in "do's" and "don'ts". Here is an article I wrote about some "don'ts" for the driving test.

What You Should Not Do If You Want To Pass Your Driving Test

I am sure that the reason why you here busy reading this article is simply because you are seriously thinking about the idea of laying your hand on the driving license. You have probably sat for the test a number of times, or maybe this is actually the first time that you are here. Regardless of what your actual situation maybe, the truth of the matter is that you want to pass your driving test. In this article, we are going to take a few minutes in order to discuss some of the things that you should definitely not think of doing if at all you would like to lay your hands on the coveted driver’s license.

Never Be Late

One of the worst mistakes that you can do as a prospective driver is to arrive at the venue of the test late. The reason why this is something tat cannot be tolerated is simply because of the fact that it makes the people who are interviewing you to think that you are really not series about the whole process of getting the DL. As you know, the DL is something that is extremely important and showing any form of casualness in applying for it will definitely cost you a big deal.

Don’t Drink on The Test Day

Although I am pretty sure that a lot of people in America may not really see this as something that can actually affect them, but I think it is just important to make note of the fact that you should never drink when you are going for a driver’s test. People who are not responsible enough to avoid drinking when they are going to drive cause many accidents on our roads. Arriving for the test when you are drunk will definitely mean that you are one of the people who are likely to mar the roads that other people are using too.

Please, Do Not Panic

Apart from the issue of arriving when late, you should also look into the other issue of panicking. Despite the fact that is actually important that you take the test very seriously, it definitely does not mean that you panic about it. Unfortunately, there are so many people who panic during the test that they end up failing the driving tests. At the end of the day, the seriousness with which they take the test ends up being counterproductive.

Getting your driver's license is not that hard. If you would like to pass your driving test without trying so hard, you should get yourself this amazing driving test guide.

I hope this article helped you,

First Time Driving: Sammie

Going on the highway on the first time is a scary experience. Going on the highway during the first drive can be terrifying. However, it seems like Sammie is handling it very well. Going at 70 mph(!) at her first drive takes a lot of courage and trust from her parents.

This video is from last week, so Sammie still has a long way until she gets her license. She's doing great, so it won't be a big issue for her.

Bribe Her Way to Jail

In some countries, it's enough to give a little cash bundle to the driving examiner to pass the test. However, in the US it doesn't work like that. A 26-year-old woman was charged with bribery after trying to give the examiner $90 to give her a passing score.

The examiner was honest and turned her in. If she's convicted, the woman can face up to five years in jail and up to $10,000 fine. Definitely not worth it for a little driving test.

You need to practice in order to pass. Money will not get you anywhere.

Pay As You Go Insurance

Sometimes you need car insurance for only a day or a week, and it's a big waste to go for regular insurance. The solution is "Pay As You Go" insurance, as described here by .

Pick Pay As You Go Auto Insurance Policies And Spend Less Cash On Your Coverage

There may be times when you find yourself in need of car insurance for just a single day, or maybe you need to drive for a week or two. There are many reasons why you may want this type of cover and in these circumstances it simply does not make sense to get a standard annual policy. An annual policy will usually cost you a large upfront fee so even though you can always cancel the annual policy when you no longer need it, you will already have paid a large sum of money up front. Even more relevant is if you need to drive for a day or two, but then not for a few weeks, then you need to drive again, then you don't need a car, and so on. Ongoing annual policies are a terrible waste of money if you have this type of pattern of irregular driving needs.

A motoring policy for a single day is ideal when you purchase a new vehicle. Instead of having to take the time to apply for an annual policy at the time of purchase you can get car insurance for a day in a matter of a few minutes. Temporary insurance is quick and easy to get and this makes it ideal for times when you spot the car of your dreams and you want to snap it up before anyone else does. You can put a quick basic policy in place, then sort out a longer term plan when you get home.

Another reason you may want to get car insurance that lasts a day or two is because you need to use someone else's vehicle and your insurance does not cover you. By purchasing temporary car insurance you will get the insurance you need without paying a lot for it.

There are times when someone needs to borrow your car or van. Perhaps you are temporarily unable to drive, or you have family coming to visit from out of town and they will need a vehicle to drive. This is a perfect time to get car insurance for a day. Your vehicle will then be properly covered in case of an accident.

Another group of people with irregular driving habits tend to be younger people living with parents. If you are not working full time and do not need a car for regular commuting, you may only need a car very occasionally. You could go weeks without needing to drive, but then want to do a lot of driving in a short space of time. A traditional policy would be a waste of money in this situation. The best option for ongoing irregular driving would be a pay as you go policy. This is where a tracking box is fitted to your vehicle and you are charged by the insurer based on the driving you actually do.

Since car insurance for a day is so quick and easy to get you will find that there are certain restrictions that apply to it. In most cases the insurance company will insist that you are at least 25 years old. Your licence will have to be clean too. In other words they do not want any violations or accidents on your licence. A clean licence is a sign that you are a safer driver and a lower risk to them. Many times they will also want you to have had a licence for a certain period of time.

The car insurance companies may also put restrictions on the type of vehicle you can insure. They will most likely not insure a car which has been modified. The vehicle may have to have a particular limit on the value, also.

Car insurance for a day is very useful in certain circumstances. You may find that getting this type of insurance is exactly what you need until you can get an annual policy in place.

Driving: Mission Impossible

July and August are the months of impossible driving. Unless you have a roof above your car, there is no way you can enter a car safely. It burns. Just being in the car kills all signs of deodorant. And it just gets worse.

After you start the car, you turn on the air conditioning just to find it blowing very hot air in your direction. Even worse than that is the super-hot steering wheel plastic which makes it impossible to even start driving.

A few minutes later your car cools down, but by then you're already sweating like a horse. And you know it'll happen again tomorrow.

Handling Test Day

The driving test day is always an exciting day, and handling it the wrong way can get you in trouble. Here is an article I wrote about doing it right.

Passing The Driving Test – How To Handle The Day Of The Test

Passing the driving test is something many people really yearn for. In fact, I think I would definitely not be mistaken to claim that the reason why you are here reading this article has everything to do with your desire to lay your hands o the driving license. Despite the fact that this actually happens to be a desire of so many people, it is actually important to note that many people fail to get what they are looking for simply because of the fact that they do not actually handle the day of the test the way that they should do. The first thing that you should do on the day of the test if at all you would like to pass your driving test is to make sure that you wake up early. This is an extremely important thing because you do not want to find yourself running to the venue of the test when you are sweating and apologizing. This will be a sure way of reducing your chances of passing the test. On the other hand, if you wake up early and arrive at the venue early, you will definitely not be disappointed since you will have enough time to relax.

After you have, a woken up early, the next thing that you should do is to make sure that you have a decent meal. Make sure that you take food in moderation. We all know what anxiety does to our stomachs, and it can be really embarrassing for you to face the tense examinations while at the same time being disturbed a stomach upset. When it comes to fluids, make sure that you do take very little amounts so that you do not need to relieve yourself when you are doing your test.

Apart from these two things, the other thing that you need to do is to relax. This is because of the fact that if you relax, you will not panic. Panicking is one of the main reasons why people actually end up failing the driving tests. If you wake up in the morning with a relaxed attitude, you will not be disappointed. However, if you wake up and you are panicking, you will end up failing yourself the test.

All in all, success in your test depends a lot, on how much you are willing to sacrifice when it comes to how well you are able to prepare your day for the task ahead.

Getting your driver's license is not that hard. If you would like to pass your driving test without trying so hard, you should get yourself this amazing driving test guide.

Driving after a swimming pool (or going to the beach) always comes with "Don't wet the seats!". Some people, usually ones with high-priced cars, are super-sensitive about it, and they can't stand the slightest remains of chlorine.

Yes, I went to a water park today (well, last week). Yes, it was fun. And no, I didn't wet the seats. I had a towel.

Is It Possible to Find Cheap Insurance?

Car insurance prices are rising, and people are looking for ways to lower them. Here is an article by

about finding cheap insurance.

Cheap Car Insurance - Trick Or Treat?

We all love a bargain whether we are in a recession or not. When it comes to cheap car insurance we particularly like to shop around. Up to a quarter of people change their insurer when the renewal date arrives. Changing utility companies is less common although getting more popular as prices rise - but you don't have a renewal date for your electric or gas so most of us avoid the paperwork and the hassle. Renewing your car insurance is easy, but there is a bit of work to do, which is probably what prompts us to shop around while we are at it. Added to this, saving some money on the car insurance may actually mean the difference between continuing to run a car or not as we all begin to feel the 'pinch' in our wallets.

Protect your assets

Finding cheap car insurance is pretty easy these days, the market is so competitive and insurers so keen to keep existing clients that they will offer discounts and bonuses galore. For new drivers finding young driver insurance is usually expensive and you may well be tempted by all kinds of offers, but for more established drivers, who posses valuable assets like their no claims bonuses, switching to an apparently cheaper policy may prove expensive in the future. Most companies will accept your no claims bonus when you purchase a new policy - but before clicking 'Yes' and switching, make sure that this is the case. The larger your no claims bonus is you have the more you will want to protect it! If your policy does not already protect your 'no claims bonus', consider when switching the inclusion of this option. Protecting your no claims bonus usually comes at a slight premium but one that may well be worth it.

Big points, small print

It's easy to think that all insurance companies and policies are the same. Many are, but there are specialist insurers out there. There are numerous factors to consider when you are searching for cheap car insurance. Age, gender, driving experience, penalty points, type and age of car are just some of these factors. For each category it is usually possible to find a specialist firm but always compare these with the mainstream providers and see if the terms and conditions are comparable as well as the costs. Finding cheap car insurance can be a real treat - or allow you to afford one - but make sure that there are no hidden surprises in the small print.

To find the best car Insurance you will need to compare car insurance to find insurance that has the right package while still being affordable

Two Common Mistakes

You hear tips over and over in this blog, but repeating them doesn't mean that they're wrong. Here is another article I wrote that explains two things you should definitely not do.

Two Mistakes That People Make When Sitting For Their Driving Tests

It is common knowledge that there is a good number of people who have sat for their driving tests so many times but who have not managed to pass these tests. If you are among the many people who are looking for driver's license and who happen to meet such people, you can easily find yourself in a situation whereby you are completely discouraged. In this article, we are going to look at two of the common mistakes that are made by these people. It is my hope that once you know the mistakes, you will be better prepared to avoid them.

Being Unprepared

The first big mistakes that many of these people make is to go for the tests when they are totally unprepared. This is because of the fact that when people see other people who don't seem to be as intelligent as them getting the drivers' license, they tend to think that it must then be an extremely easy thing that they can pass without having to spend a considerable amount of time studying and practicing how to drive. If you want to pass, then you must make sure that you spend a lot of time studying and doing practice.

Arriving Late For The Tests

The other reason why you will find that these people do not pass their test and they don't even manage to get a driver's license is simply because of the fact that they arrive late for their tests. If you arrive ate for the test, then you are simply telling the examiner that you are really no serious bout getting the license. In addition to this, you will also realize that people who appear late for their exams do are not usually confident, and they end up panicking when they are doing the test, whether it is the practical, or the theory.

It is important to note that although these two are not the only mistakes that people make when they sit for their tests, they contribute to the largest numbers of people who cannot get their driver's license. This means that if you manage to prepare well for bother the theory test and the practical, and also arrive early in the test venue, you will definitely have increased your chances of passing the driving tests by a very a great machine. On the other hand, if you choose to ignore these two things, then you may easily end up being like the thousands of people who fail to get their driver's license after the second sitting.

Getting your driver's license is not that hard. If you would like to pass your driving test without trying so hard, you should get yourself this amazing driving test guide.

Hopefully this article helped you,

Insurance With Bad Credit

The United States is celebrating its freedom today, so I have an insurance article which is perfect for the American system. This time Brian Stevens shows how to get good insurance even with bad credit.

Bad Credit Auto Insurance - How to Get the Best Rate

Having bad credit doesn't make you a bad driver, but it will raise your auto insurance rates. Here's how to get a cheap rate on bad credit auto insurance.

Bad Credit Auto Insurance

As strange as it may sound, your credit rating directly affects your auto insurance rating with some companies. Auto insurance companies have figured out that people with bad credit file 40% more claims than people with good credit.

If you have bad credit your insurance could cost you 20% to 50% more in insurance premiums than someone with good credit.

The good news is not all insurance companies use your credit rating as a factor in determining your insurance rating, and some states won't allow insurance companies to use it. So if you've been labeled as a bad credit risk, or suspect you may be, you should shop around for auto insurance with other companies.

There are websites where you can get auto insurance rates from a number of A-rated companies, and also get advice from insurance professionals, absoluelty free of charge. All you do is fill out a simple questionnaire about the type of car you own and the type of insurance you want, wait for your quotes, then choose the best one. (See link below.)

Lowering Your Auto Insurance Rate

In addition to comparison shopping, here are some other ways to lower your insurance rate:

Raise your deductible - Raising your deductible can save you hundreds of dollars a year on your insurance premium. After a while the money you save on your insurance premium will more than make up for your deductible.

Drop your collision and comprehensive coverage - If you drive an older car - particularly if your car is worth less than the total of your insurance premium plus your deductible - consider dropping your collision and comprehensive coverage as repairs may cost more than your car is worth.

Consolidate your insurance policies - Purchasing your homeowners insurance (or renters insurance) and auto insurance through the same company can get you a 5% to 15% discount on your premium.

Get all the discounts you can - Insurance companies offer discounts on their policies for all sorts of reasons. Ask your agent about all the discounts you're eligible for and take advantage of them.

Visit http://www.LowerRateQuotes.com or click on the following link to get cheap auto insurance rate quotes from top-rated companies and see how much you can save. You can get more insurance tips in their Articles section.

The author, Brian Stevens, is a former insurance agent and financial consultant who has written extensively on bad credit auto insurance.

Two weeks ago, I had to get up early and drive. I was on the road at 6:20 in the morning, and except being somewhat tired, it felt great. I managed to get where I wanted in less than an hour thanks to the empty roads.

Of course, I prefer night driving, when I'm less tired. However, if I ever have to drive again in the morning, I don't think I'll say no immediately.

Reasons of Failure

Failure in the driving test can come from many reasons, but some are more common than others. Here is an article I wrote about three common reasons.

Three Reasons Why People Fail Driving Tests

If you are looking forward to sitting for your driving test, you must have come across discouragement from so many people. A lot of these people will give you so many stories telling you why it is next to impossible to pass your driving test the first time you sit for it. Although this might be true for them, it definitely need not be true for you. In this article, we are going to look at some of the reasons why many of these people do not end up passing the tests.

Lack Of Preparedness

The first thing that causes a lot of people to fail their tests is the issue of lack of preparedness. You will find that there are some people who will plan to take test, but who are not willing to put in enough effort in order to achieve what they are looking for. For this reason, such people will go and take their exams and the fail, but then end up telling you how impossible it will be for you to [pass too.

Panicking During The Test

The other reason why people do fail their driving test s simply because of the fact that many of the people who plan to take the test panic a lot when it comes to the day of the exams. When this happens such people find themselves in a position, whereby he ends up making some very stupid mistakes that will definitely end up costing him a great deal.

Underestimating the Importance Of The Theory Test

The other reason why people do fail their driving tests is simply because of the fact that a good number f people go for the tests usually undermine the theory test. This is especially true for those people who know how to drive, and who have driven for sometime without a license.
