To The Mountains

I recently had a very dramatic change in my life: I moved. I didn't move to a different country, just a different city. And that also means a different terrain. To be more exact: a mountainous one.

I have lived on flat lands as long as I can remember. I was born near the beach and even when I lived in the US for a while it was on a pretty flat terrain. But I am now far away from that. Wherever I drive, it's either up or down. Never horizontally.

Luckily, I have an automatic transmission, so I don't have to deal so much with the clutch. But even with that, it still takes some getting-used-to.

Driving on the Mountains

This week I had to drive north, and that means climbing a mountain. My Hyundai is not the best climber, but it handled very well. After some climbing I arrived at the city only to find their horrible roads and no parking spots.

The city I went to has lots of one-way streets. It's almost impossible to find a place you need. Luckily my father knew where to go, and he helped me navigate. Without him, I'd be lost.

Next time I'll go there I'll take him with me again. There is no way I'll get where I want only by myself.
