A Mile Tax

When we want to drive today, we have to use gasoline. One of the hidden costs there is tax. It's pretty low in the US (and over 50% of the gas price in Europe). However, when gas prices started to rise and cars started to become more efficient, the revenue from this tax started to decline.

There is a new idea now - mile tax. Your car will have a device that measures how much you traveled, and charges you accordingly.

What do you think about it? Do you support it?

As much as I oppose taxes, I think that there is no way to avoid a tax hike for transportation. Unless we want the roads to break down, we have to pay for it.
