Seat belt Stories

Last week I took my little cousins from their home to visit our grandma. For some weird reason, they kept asking me if they need to buckle their seat belt. I, obviously, said yes, and they said they did.

However, my car has a seat belt detector that said only my belt was buckled. I looked back and saw that they held the belt but didn't buckle it. Since I was already used to these tricks, I didn't move the car yet and waited for them to do it.

Only after I was sure they did, I started to drive.

Later, when they asked why they needed the seat belt ("there are no cops here"), I explained them that it's for safety, not for avoiding fines.

I hope I got through to them, although I highly doubt it.
