The month of May has gone away, and as usual, it must be ended with a video. Today's video is quite sexist, but really funny. See if you can guess the point before the end and if you can identify what's the video is for.
Let's hope that drivers like her won't be here in June.

The Lane Ignorers
Today I want to talk about a painful topic: lane ignorers. No, they are not people who drive on the left lane forever (those are lane hoggers). Lane ignorers are people who won't let anyone in their lane before them.
Usually, I'm going through very busy traffic on Thursdays. I drive on road which has two lanes merging into one, and as a result I need to consider drivers who want to merge left in front of me. But when I try to merge left, no one cares about me.
Those drivers are terrible. No matter how much I give them hints like starting to move in their lane and signaling for minutes, they ignore me. For them, I'm just air, and they won't let me in. This kind of behavior causes accidents. Luckily, I'm careful enough to avoid them.
Have a great weekend!

Avoiding Stress at the Driving Test
Stress is a test killer. This statement is especially true for driving tests, which are much more risky than any classroom test. You need to come ready and focused, not stressed and anxious. Here is an article I wrote about this topic.
Driving Test Secrets - The Importance of Preparing Yourself
Getting your driver's license test can be very stressful. It could be because you're not prepared, that you don't know what to expect, or both. Even if you're feeling particularly confident right now, you may find your nerves acting up once you get there to take the test.
Yes, there's a good chance you'll make mistakes. Everyone does. Still, you need to try keeping them to a minimum, if you can. The idea is to not worry about your mistakes. If you make one, keep going. Don't worry or dwell so much over one that you end up making even more. Keep your focus on what you're doing.
The best way to avoid stress is to study and practice as much as you can so that you will be well prepared. You need to read more than just your state guidebook. There are actually guides and eBooks you can look over online that will help you learn driving test secrets.
A good online driving course will give you an insight as to what will be required of you during your testing. What will your examiner be watching for? What will you be tested on, exactly? How many mistakes can you afford to miss? In order to prepare yourself, you need to know the answers to all of these questions.
You need to know, step by step, what to do the second you enter the DMV until you complete your test. As long as you know all the secrets beforehand, you should pass! Look through a good, online driving test guide so that you'll know everything you need to know in order to show up prepared and confident on the day of your examination.
You can ready yourself for facing anything on the day of your driver's road test. There's a lot more to the testing process than what is presented in your guidebook. Thankfully, there are online driving guides that, although very detailed, are still very easy to understand.
I hope you liked this article,

First Time Driving: Kenz
One disadvantage of being born in the summer is starting to drive at winter, just like Kenz had to do. Watch how she drives through the rain while her father doesn't put on his seatbelt (not such a good example).
The video was uploaded at the end of April, so Kenz still has a long way to go. If she continues to drive like she did here, she's on the sure way for a license.
Good luck!

Re-Failing the Written Test
It's unbelieveable, but 20% of licensed Americans would fail their written test if they had to take it today. Yes, it's sad. Yes, it's bad. Yes, they're driving right now near you. Yes, it's the driver who stopped right in the middle of the intersection.
The GMAC Insurance National Drivers Test found those results in its fifth annual survey. The results of 2008 or 2007 are also on this blog somewhere, and they're not as great either. Apparently drivers are not improving.
Georgia kept its 47th position, Idaho and Wisconsin are tied for first place (congratulations!), and New York drivers seem to be the worst. I need to remember to avoid going to New York any time soon.
Good luck next year!

Pass Your Driving Test Confidently
Confidence is critical when taking your driving test. Without it, you'll be super-nervous, over-think every step, and eventually fail. Roseanna Leaton wants to change this. Here is an article she wrote about this issue, and a way to handle it.
Tip to Pass Your Driving Test With Confidence
No matter how good a driver you are, it's only human to feel a little bit of anxiety when sitting next to the examiner instead of your usual driving instructor. The more it matters to you, the more anxious you can become, due to the pressure you inadvertently put upon yourself.
The symptoms of anxiety are all too familiar to many a person; heart beating rapidly, feeling a little bit too hot, palms beginning to sweat, and so on. Not the most conducive state in which to be when taking your driving test. And for those who have failed a test before pressure and tension tends to build, and you can find yourself inadvertently running horror movies in your mind - you see yourself stalling the car, not making that emergency stop, turning the wrong way, crashing...all these scenarios popping into your mind and adding to your anticipation of disaster.
How can you STOP this cycle and relax your mind and visualize a different outcome, an outcome where you drive beautifully and pass your driving test with flying colors? The answer is easy - HYPNOSIS.
Hypnosis is a state of relaxation and so in just learning to use this natural art you will know how to relax quickly and easily, whenever you want to, or whenever you feel that you need to. You will learn to relax your breathing and remain cool, calm and confident. The calm and relaxing state of hypnosis will allow you to take a step back, to firstly dissociate from all that pent-up emotion and secondly to direct your mind to see what you want to see. It allows you to train your mind to expect to be calm, to expect to drive perfectly, to expect to pass your test.
And this is massively important, because your thoughts create your reality. What you expect to see does indeed tend to happen. Your thoughts and associated emotions act like powerful magnets, drawing what you are focusing upon into your reality. Just imagine what would happen if you did not learn to control your thoughts and direct your subsequent actions.
When in hypnosis your creative mind comes to the fore and it becomes easy to visualize yourself taking your test. In effect you can mentally rehearse your test. This mental rehearsal is extremely powerful. In fact it is just as important as all of that physical driving practice which you put in before taking your test. You may have all the ability in the world, but unless your mind is correctly focused, you will not achieve the best results.
In sport it has been shown time and again that mental rehearsal is more important to succeed under pressure than actual physical practice. The equation is reflective of most things in life. To have the confidence to succeed is THE most important ingredient. You must have your thoughts, feelings and imagination aligned with your physical ability, and this can be achieved quickly and easily with the assistance of hypnosis downloads.

Parking Accident Live
Last week I drove with someone to the supermarket. She went out to buy and I waited for her in the parking lot. During my wait, I saw something unbelieveable: a woman backing up out of a parking space while pressing the gas pedal. The result: the car behind her nearly turned upside down.
I was shocked and immediately looked for another parking spot, away from the center. The hitter got out of her car, looked at the damage, and decided to ignore it. She didn't leave her details, and when the owners came, she didn't say a thing.
This kind of people makes me sick. Damaging property and getting away with it is a nasty habit, and I hope she will be punished somehow for what she did.

Getting Ready for the Driving Test
When you go to take your driving test, you better be ready. Most people who fail their test are not prepared, and their score sheet clearly reflects it. Here is an article about getting ready for your test, so you can pass easily.
Tips on Readying Yourself For Your Driver's License Test
Everyone wants to pass their driver's road test, but not everyone can do so on the first try. The reason why so many people fail is because they only study the basics beforehand. They also don't practice enough as they should be. It takes a lot of practice and studying in order to successfully complete a driver's road test.
Most people are nervous during the examination and end up making a lot of mistakes. Focus and confidence are the keys to success. In order to maintain focus, one must go to bed early, get good sleep, and eat a healthy breakfast the day of the test. Some are sick to their stomachs with nervousness the morning of the test and don't eat anything---this is obviously a very bad idea, as having a full stomach increases concentration.
Some also worry too much about making mistakes. Mistakes are going to happen, regardless, so there's not much use in dwelling on them. Some people even try to count their errors, and this will only cause them to make even more! Facts show that approximately 50% of people fail the first time, therefore there's no use in getting discouraged.
One of the worst mistakes anyone could make is worrying about the examiner. They are shy and too afraid to say anything. As a result, they may be unclear about their instructions and will end up failing. Examiners can be rather friendly, so it's okay to ask them for clearer instructions. They won't mind repeating or being specific.
If you're getting ready to take your driver's test, make sure you use the internet as a guide for getting secrets and tips on passing. There are e-classes, eBooks, guidelines, and more that you can look over online. Some are very easy to understand, and will teach you everything you need to know about passing.
All you have to do now is implement the instructions, and you're set to go.

Cash Stopping Traffic
Everyone knows that money turns the world around, but apparently it can also stop the world. For example, on last Friday an envelope with 23,000 Euros (about $42,000) opened during a regular drive and the money fell all over the road.
The driver took an Audi A3 convertible for a test drive and placed an envelope filled with 500 Euro notes (wow) in the back seat. Since it's a convertible and the envelope wasn't sealed, the notes flew all over.
The man called the police, and they closed the road in both directions. Eventually the recovered only 40 notes out of 46. It cost the driver 3,000 Euros and the other drivers it cost hours in waiting time.
Watch for your money!

Drive Well After your Driving Test
Many people are sure that the driving test is the final stop before becoming a good driver. However, it's just the beginning. After you pass, you have many more years to drive, and you better do it well, or the road will punish you. Here is an article by Jo Alexander about this issue.
How to Improve Your Driving Skills After Passing Your Driving Test
Passing your driving test is an exhilarating feeling. After all of the stress and worry of preparing for the test you can now relax and enjoy your own personal freedom on the open road. However you must remember that in terms of driving experience you are still a relative novice, and you should remember that a good driver is always learning and improving even further their skills at the wheel.
Whilst driving lessons and the test itself are very comprehensive and cover most of the major driving situations, you will still lack proper experience of driving on motorways, at night and in adverse weather conditions. New drivers particularly finding driving on motorways a challenge, because of the higher speeds involved and the need to look further ahead and anticipate earlier.
To build on these gaps in your driving abilities you can take an official Pass Plus course within your first year of passing your driving test. The course consists of six training sessions that are specifically tailored to develop your driving abilities further, and to introduce a range of special advance driving techniques. Participants in the Pass Plus scheme can also qualify for reduced car insurance premiums with certain car insurance companies.
Whilst taking part in the Pass Plus scheme will set you up for adopting good driving habits, the first few years of your driving career will still be very testing and challenging. You will encounter new and unfamiliar driving situations, which may leave you feeling nervous or hesitant.
One options is to fit a P plate to your vehicle. Just like L Pates they must be fitted to ensure that they do not obscure number pates, car lights or visibility. P plates will indicate to other road users that you are newly qualified driver, and will hopefully ensure that they will give you more time and allowances as you develop your driving skills further.
Sadly, even with P plates fitted, you will still find some drivers may be rude or aggressive towards you, because they feel you are not driving as fast or as confidently as they feel you should. Never react to this sort of bad driving behaviour, instead try to remain calm and focussed, and only drive at a speed or in a manner in which you feel comfortable.
After several months of driving it will be important to guard against complacency and overconfidence, as you are still at a high risk of having a driving accident, a fact that is borne out by the higher insurance premiums.
Remember that a good driver always takes great pride in their driving standard, and will continue to improve their ability behind the wheel throughout their driving career.

Driving With Others
From this blog it seems like I drive day and night all across the country. Well, the truth is not really like this. I rarely drive during weekdays, so most of my driving is done on weekends.
Since I don't drive on weekdays, someone is taking me. In fact, I've ridden with many people, and it's not always a good experience. Some people just can't drive.
I've never been in a situation where I have to notify the driver about something dangerous he or she does, but some people have a really bad driving style. They take their foot off the gas often enough to make me sick, they brake unevenly, and in general, their driving is a disaster.
I wonder how driving with me is. Too bad I'll never be able to be the passenger when I'm driving...

Don't Worry About Mistakes
Usually, when people talk about the driving test they warn everyone they know about making mistakes. These people are right, but they forget one thing: all those mistakes can be prvented. How? Simply by practicing well. Here is an article I wrote about the topic.
Driving Test Secrets - Don't Worry Over Making Mistakes
Everyone feels nervousness before and during driving tests. Thankfully, the nerves and anxiety can be minimized, just as long as you know what you're up against. You need to study tips and guidelines so that you'll know what to expect the day of your testing. The more knowledge you have beforehand, the more confident you will be, which means you won't make that many mistakes.
Keep in mind that the testing may be rigorous because the DMV wants to be absolutely certain that they only give licenses to the safest drivers. Don't let it upset you if you mess up and see the examiner taking notes. They're just there to do their job, and they may even be nice if you present yourself as a qualified individual.
You will need to be able to: make proper turns, signal correctly, stop at traffic lights and stop signs, change lanes, parallel park, and so forth. You need to practice every single day before your test in order to make sure you know exactly what you're doing. Knowing, understanding, and doing: all three of these are needed for passing your driver's license test.
If you end up failing, try not to take it to heart. A lot of people don't pass the very first time they take the test. It doesn't make them a bad driver; everyone makes mistakes. Simply take note of where and how you messed up and work on improving yourself for the next time you take the test. There is no mistake you can't learn from. Just study, practice, and work on improving so that you can pass next time.
If you really want help, check into some online driver's test guides. You can learn and train online so that you can prepare yourself for the big day! There are good, comprehensive, and easy to understand driving guides online that will teach you all the secrets you need to know.
Hope you learned something,

Even the police aren't immune from DUI cases. On this link you can find the story of a police officer from Indianapolis who was arrested because he was drinking and driving.
How was he caught? Like every other drunk driver. Bad driving. Another officer saw him change lanes violently, which immediately raises the attention. When he was stopped, he smelled from alcohol, which is a sure sign of drinking.
Well, that's really sad. Even when a police officer is off-duty (like the case here), he should set an example for everyone else. Well, maybe this Indianapolis officer will learn this lesson better from jail.

Mistakes of New Drivers
Drivers, especially new ones, make mistakes. It's an unavoidable part of driving. However, since driving is riskier than many other activities, you should pay attention to those mistakes and try to avoid them as much as possible. Here is an article by Julia Cleanthous about this issue.
Common Mistakes For New Drivers
First time drivers are imbued with a new sense of freedom. They no longer have to rely on parents or friends to drive them from point A to point B but are now able to drive themselves from A to B and beyond. Being newly accustomed to this freedom, new drivers ignore there inexperience in many aspects of driving. No matter how well they pass the driving test, the real test is getting on the road for the first time alone with other drivers.
New drivers, especially teenagers, are notorious for making mistakes while driving. While some can and should be avoided, others result from naivety and a lack of awareness. The most common mistakes are easily corrected, but can also be the deadliest and should be addressed as soon as the driver or anyone notices that they are being made.
Common mistakes include such things as being distracted while at the wheel. This is extremely dangerous and can result in serious, and even fatal, accidents. Distractions come from many areas: sights on the side of the road, changing the radio dial, and in this modern day, cell phones and text messaging. New drivers need to understand how crucial it is to keep their attention on driving and not such frivolous activities as talking on the phone or changing the radio. If you do need to use the cell phone, pull to the side of the road, make the call, and rejoin traffic once the call is finished.
An important step in preventing accidents, the practice of maintaining proper distance between cars, is often ignored by new drivers. They often follow too closely, not realizing just how dangerous this can be. Keeping distance between the car and others allows for braking and other procedures in case of an accident up ahead or an emergency stop. Not only this, but the practice is just common courtesy. No one likes a tailgater and it is quite intimidating to have someone following too closely. Make sure to maintain a distance of at least 3 seconds behind the car in front. This distance will allow for a full and complete stop at any speed. Other vehicles such as large trucks and SUVs will need additional distance.
Maintaining the car is very important. A well maintained vehicle performs far better than one that is neglected. Keeping the brake pads fresh, the oil clean and new, and making sure the tires are in excellent condition are just some of what new drivers need to be mindful of. It is important to keep the car in a condition that is safe to drive, and more often than not it will allow for a more enjoyable driving experience.
Certainly there are other common mistakes that new drivers make. It is important to understand that driving can be dangerous if not taken seriously. Experience will clean up most of the rough edges, but other mistakes made out of ignorance and even stupidity can result in injury, or worse, so correcting them is a top priority.

Best Parallel Parking Ever Done
Four days ago I was on vacation and I drove to the nearest city to party. The problem is that hundreds of other people did exactly the same thing, and finding parking in there was like finding parking in Walmart on Black Friday.
Suddenly I spotted a beautiful opening between two cars, and decided I must get in there. That was a one way street with cars parking on both sides, which made it very narrow. I said I get in there no matter what.
Amazingly, I did it. A few hours later, when my friend and I were about to leave, I said I don't want to go, since it's just a great parking spot. Well, we eventually went.
Once again, as I say and as I discover over and over, it's all practice.

Driving Test Tips and Secrets
It's another Friday, which means it's once again the time for an article I wrote. And today, some more tips and secrets for the driving test.
Tips and Secrets For Passing Your Driver's License Exam
One of the most important things you'll ever do in life is getting your driver's license. Having the freedom to drive is something that you should feel very proud of. In order to get that freedom though, you need to successfully past your written and road tests. The thought of taking tests can be daunting for some, therefore it's essential that you prepare yourself properly for the tasks ahead.
You need to start your practice driving out in an area where there are no other cars. This way, you can start out without having to worry or stress out over traffic. As you continue to learn though, you can move on up to more busy areas a little bit at a time. You should also practice with someone who won't make you aggravated. This way, you will be able to focus more.
You should also study your guide book. Additionally, there are online guides and study material as well. Make sure you understand all the rules of the road. Some online guides will even give you some insight and secrets as to what your examiner will be watching for and testing you on. These insights can obviously come in handy.
Think about everything you've read as you practice driving. The more you do so, the more comfortable you will become. Obviously, you need to try making yourself as calm as possible so that you will be able to handle the test successfully when the time comes. Learn how to stay focused.
You will be tested on everything from seatbelts, mirror adjustments, car starting, smooth brake applying, and so forth. Also pay close attention to whether or not the examiner has a seatbelt on. Observe carefully just in case he or she tries to trick you any. Don't be intimidated by your examiner, make sure there is clear communication so that you will know exactly what you're supposed to be doing at all times.
You can check out more tips and secrets online. The internet is filled with good material, so make sure you acquire as much information as you can. If you want to pass your driver's test, you need to first make sure you have a good guide.

We Don't Need No Speed Cameras
This story was published only three days ago, but it contains information everyone knew for a long time. Well, it wasn't hard. Speed cameras don't work. They are just used to get money and fill the pockets of the police (in the UK, at least)
Watch closely: in 2007, speed fines from cameras went down 23%, and also road deaths went down dramatically. Coincidence? Maybe. Whatever the answer will be, it just proves that speed cameras are uselss.
And finally, the reason for the reduced number of speed fines is really annoying. It's because the police and local authorities couldn't keep a portion of the money for more cameras. Another proof that those cameras were just a money machine.

Pass your Driving Test With Visualization
Fear is a natural feeling. Everyone has his own fears and anxieties, but when it prevents people from doing what they want, it's a real obstacle. Here is an article by Dan Bainbridge for people who have some sort of fear or a mental block from passing the driving test.
Pass Your Driving Test With Visualization and Subliminal Messages
Driving a car can give you a sense of freedom, if you are not stuck in jams of course! But you will only be able to drive if once you get a license. However, may of us start getting a panic attack at the mere though of a driving test! If you've taken one and failed or are turning into a nervous wreck at the mere thought of taking one, the following tips may help you:
Visualize clearing your driving test
You may have heard of athletes or sports persons, visualizing winning before an important game or match. They do this because visualization is considered to be powerful technique which prepares the body and mind for peak performance. You can also use this technique to ensure peak performance in your driving test. Start practicing the following technique a week before you are due to take your test:
Step 1- Lie down and sit in a comfortable position
Step 2- Close your eyes and deep breathe
Step 3- Now visualize yourself driving confidently. Feel as if you are in complete control of the car. See yourself smiling confidently as you take the test. Imagine that you are being told, "congratulations, you have cleared your driving test"
Step 4- Relax
Step 5- open your eyes
When you visualize something intensely and repeatedly, your body and mind start pushing towards making that visualization come true.
Listen to subliminal messages
Our subconscious directs our so called "natural behavior". Things like saying "hi!" when you meet someone or putting your hand forward to shake hands, which you seem to do "unconsciously", are actually behavior patterns which are embedded in the subconscious. When we do something repeatedly, with time it becomes a part of our natural behavior. Subliminal messages can modify our behavior as they have the power to influence our subconscious. The most commonly used instruments for transmitting subliminal messages are audio cds. Soundtracks in these cds come packaged with subliminal messages. Subliminal messages if used regularly and repeatedly will boost your confidence and help you to develop the belief that you are going to pass and remove the possibility of failure from your mind.
Dan Bainbridge is the Director of Real Subliminal:
Download your free subliminal mp3s today and experience the power of subliminal messaging for yourself! Or try our subliminal pass your driving test album and pass your driving test with ease.

Whether you're a student driver yourself or a parent of a teen who wants his or her license, then you'll find that the internet provides a wealth of information. In order to obtain a driver's license, one must: know the rules of the road, learn responsibility, and feel comfortable when sitting at the wheel. While practice driving is a good way to learn, there are still a lot of rules and information that a student needs to learn from an instruction guide.
The best instruction guides these days are the ones found online. Experts have inside secrets and will help you or your teen become familiar with everything that the driving tests entail. Ordinary instruction booklets that are given out to students only contain a small portion of everything a student needs to know. Sometimes the information isn't even enough to pass the written test with!
This is why it's important to take advantage of modern technology and to study online. A good online guide will make driving easy and fun to understand. All the rules of the road can be studied and learned in no time at all on the internet.
Each student is faced with a lot on the day of the examination. He or she may experience nervousness, stress, confusion, and maybe even failure. The best way to overcome all of this is to show up prepared with all the knowledge necessary for passing. By studying, step by step, everything about driving and what to expect, exactly, on the big day, the student will feel more confident and will therefore pass.
