Reduce Your Auto Insurance Price
Sometimes you just can't pay too much for insurance. However, most insurance companies don't give you a choice - they charge what they need, not necessarily what you can afford. There are ways to reduce this price. Here is an article I wrote about this issue.
Really Cheap Auto Insurance - Finding the Right Policy For You
If you're looking for really cheap auto insurance, then you're already off to a good start by reading this article. While there is a large number of insurance providers out there, prices can vary from driver to driver. This means that you need to do research yourself rather than going with a recommendation. Even if someone you know has really cheap auto insurance with a certain company, you may not be so lucky with that particular company.
Thankfully, you can just spend some time doing research online and shopping around. You can fill out questionnaires about your driving record. Once you get the results, you need to do research on every company. This will narrow your search down even more. In the old days, all of this would take a very long time to do. In order to have found really cheap auto insurance, you would have had to call company after company and agent after agent. Thanks to the internet, all this can be done in just a matter of minutes!
There are multiple companies that offer affordable policies. However, as mentioned above, there is no official company that is cheaper than all others. Really cheap auto insurance depends on a number of factors, such as your record, age, automobile make, and so forth. Insurers will weigh your own, personal statistics in order to generate personalized quotes.
If you're having trouble keeping up with your current insurance costs, then you definitely need to take some time to find a cheaper choice. Finding really cheap auto insurance really isn't that hard at all---you just need to have an idea about what you're looking for.
You can get started right now. If you need really cheap auto insurance, then you shouldn't waste anytime. The sooner you get started in your search, the better - especially if you're struggling to pay for your current insurance.

First Time Driving: Ashley
Yelling at learner drivers is not a very effective way of teaching, but apparently some parents choose it. Like Ashley's parents. A scolding tone won't get anyone anywhere.
This video was uploaded three weeks ago, so Ashley still has a long way to go until she gets her license. She's OK, but her parents should calm down a little.

No Wonder He Passed
Freddie Highmore is a star at the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie. Apparently, he is also showing signs of an angry driver, just like everyone else.
During his test, Highmore needed to back up (like everyone, actually). When he did, a pedestrian started crossing the road behind him. Freddie honked at him, took his head out the window, and started shouting at the poor pedestrian.
Amazingly, the examiner only gave him two minor faults for that (inappropriate use of the horn), and Freddie passed. It seems like the examiner thinks that everyone who yells at others while driving must be a great driver.
Hopefully the British roads haven't gotten more dangerous now. However, they're louder for sure.

Choosing a Good Private Instructor
Sometimes you just can't learn how to drive with your parents or other relatives, and sometimes your country's laws require you to take a driving instructor. This situation requires you to look around for a good instructor, one who will teach you how to drive the best possible way, but won't empty your wallet during the way. Luckily, Eugene Jy Koh wrote an article about it.
How to Choose a Good Private Driving Instructor
What should you look for when choosing a private driving instructor? Learning how to drive may seem a daunting task, but learning how to drive may be easier - with a good private driving instructor. You are now at the stage of embarking on learning how to drive. So how do you go about choosing a good private driving instructor?
Here is what to look out for in the instructor:
1) Patient and Encouraging
Patience and strong encouragement are critical qualities needed in a instructor. People typically have short attention spans and believe that everything is quickly achievable. Frustration quickly seeps in when they realize that parallel parking or vertical parking is not so easy after all. These are the times when the teacher must be able to make the driving lesson fun and engaging.
2) Good Teaching system
A good driving coach must have a system to teach students every lesson. Every lesson must be systematically structured and organized to give the student a positive learning experience. Remedial lessons should also be conducted if the student is weak in an area; for example parallel parking. A good driving instructor should also be able to spot the mistakes of the students quickly and rectify the problem. He should also be able to give pointers on what examiners will look out for during the practical driving tests. Safety is utmost importance when learning how to drive.
3) Experience
Private driving instructors must be certified by the traffic police before being able to teach students. It is best to pick a driving instructor that has more than 10 years of experience as they will know exactly how the practical driving test is conducted. It may also be helpful to check the instructors' passing rate before considering to take up driving lessons with him.
There should be no hesitation to change driving instructors if you feel dissatisfied with your driving instructor. In conclusion, there are many good driving instructors around and it should be quite safe to go with recommendations from friends who have already passed their driving test.
Eugene has just passed his practical driving test on his first try with this private driving instructor and recommends his driving lessons to anyone who wishes to learn driving.

I hope this article will help you find a good instructor. Also, don't forget that a driving test guide can also improve your chances of passing the first time.

The Wonders of Impatience
If you give me one thing I can change about drivers here, my number one choice would be impatience. The lack of patience here is bordering insanity, and it almost makes me insane in many situations.
For example, one of the most basic driving situations: a red light. Some drivers are in such a hurry that they honk as soon as the light turns green, not letting the poor driver ahead of them to even realize that the light is green. I'm not talking about a dreaming driver, just one who needs an extra second to move.
Another example of impatience can be found on traffic jams. When drivers see a green light they go through the intersection, ignoring the fact they can't clear it in time. This causes others to go around them inside the intersection, or sometimes just block an entire intersection. It's annoying, it's dangerous, and it's illegal. Yet it still happens.
Next week I'll give you some more examples, unless I'll see something positive worth mentioning here.
Have a great weekend!

Why You Need Secrets and Knowledge
In order to pass the driving test, you need to master many skills, learn some insider secrets, and generally be prepared. However, your biggest asset will be the knowledge you acquire when you learn. Here's an article I wrote about it.
Driving Secrets and Knowledge Will Help You Pass Your Road Tests
In order to drive in this country, you need to pass both a written driver's test and a road test. The written test usually isn't too hard, but the driving exam can be a bit scary for many people. If you're feeling very nervous, then you need to learn all you can about driving so that you can increase your confidence level.
A driving instructor will be very helpful, although you need to also study on your own. There are online courses, for instance, that you can take in order to learn the rules of driving. You can take online lessons and read how-to guides in between your practicing.
Keep in mind that knowing the rules of the road isn't the only thing that'll get you through your test. You'll also need to know how to apply the rules of the road to your driving, and that is what the examiner will be watching for. Furthermore, you'll need to stay focused and calm if you want to pass.
You should also go over a checklist of essential items that you need to be aware of before going in to the DMV the day of your testing. For instance, you should make sure that your signals, headlines, and brakes are all working properly. Also make sure you have your learner's permit and other documentation ready to present at the DMV.
During the testing, try to stay as calm and focused as possible. Listen carefully to everything that your examiner tells you. If you've studied and prepared correctly, then you'll understand everything that is instructed of you. And, as long as you're confident and well-prepared, you should be able to pass with flying colors.
Do you need help with driving? Do you wish you had more knowledge and confidence? If so, then an online driving course can prove to be very helpful. It'll make learning how to drive go more smoothly, so that you'll increase your chances of passing and getting your driver's license.
Hope you found this article useful,

A UK Re-Test
easier.com reports about a driving test conducted by the British Which? Car. Five drivers were asked to re-take their driving test. It may not be such a great indicator of the British driving, but three of them failed.
In order to pass, drivers needed to have 15 or less "standard" faults and zero serious faults. The two who passed had many standard faults (9 and 11), and the ones who failed either had a few standard faults but had serious ones, or just had many standard faults.
However, Which? Car can be relaxed. Claire Evans, the deputy editor, passed the test with only nine faults. She had the best result out of all drivers.
Does this mean driving becomes worse after passing the test? Not necessarily. Some of the faults can be pretty petty, so older drivers ignore them. However, not checking blind spots is a problem many drivers share, and this habit should be eliminated.

Live in Orange County? Know Where to Take the Test
It is a well known fact some DMV offices have better passing rates than others. To help you choose the best one, Christopher Alan Johnson wrote an article about the best DMV offices in Orange County, California.
Toughest Orange Country DMV Office
If you are about to take your "behind-the-wheel" driving test you may be interested to know that there are large differences in pass / fail rates between the various Orange Country Motor Vehicle Offices. The statistics seems to indicate that you chances of passing the DMV issued road test maybe higher if you choose the correct location.
According to Jan Mendoza, a DMV spokeswoman, the DMV has not yet done a detailed analysis of the pass / fail discrepancies between its offices. There are many outside factors that can vary between DMV locations such as traffic patterns, localized construction or weather patterns. For example, out of all of the people that took their driving test at the Santa Ana California DMV office and average of 39 percent of all applicants failed. What is interesting is that if you look at a sample for the same period from the San Clemente California DMV office only 23% of all applicants failed. Mendoza also went on to say that, "If a person taking the test is not prepared, it's going to be more of a challenge to get through the test. If someone's prepared, they're going to pass the test."
Young drivers also have a tendency to make more mistakes when they are not familiar with their surroundings so it is essential that they log as many hours of driving practice as possible before they come to the DMV to take their test. The DMV road test is designed to weed out drivers that are not ready to deal with situations they will encounter on the roadway. If you are about ready to get your driver's license in Orange Country California just make sure you practice driving whenever possible and study hard and you will have no problem passing the driver exam no matter what location you choose.

The Keys to Driving Test Success
The driving test requires you to master some skills in order to pass. However, except those skills, you have to have some other traits in order to pass. Here are those traits, which are the key to your success.
Driver's Test Secrets - Knowledge, Confidence, and Caution Are Keys to Success
Feeling stressed out about your upcoming driver's exam? Or have you just taken it and failed? Either way, you need to make sure you get the right information from the right sources. Don't go driving with friends who brag that they can teach you all there is to know. Sure, they can help you learn how to drive, but they can also help you to learn bad habits.
Thus, you need to consider taking driver's education or having a professional instructor to assist you. You can also take online driving courses and practice tests. Some courses even have simulation software! Still, knowing how to drive and driving aren't 100% the exact same things, so you'll want to get out every day and practice driving around your area.
Sometimes the best way to instill confidence in yourself is to learn from mistakes. In other words, if you have trouble learning how to drive, try learning how NOT to drive. Learn the do's and don'ts of the road, and you'll find that catching on can be easier than you may expect.
You can find instructional videos to be beneficial, and there are tons of them online. You can watch some of them for free in order to learn driving rules. Videos will add to the visual aspect of your learning. Some are from the examiners themselves who want to offer advice to young drivers.
While lack of knowledge can surely lead to failure, overconfidence can also. In order to get your driver's license, you need to have confidence, yet be cautious at the same time. Learning all there is to know about driving is only one part of the strategy---you should also learn to be cautious and careful at all times.
Do you need to practice driving more? Do you need more confidence? If you're feeling stressed out right now, the best thing you can do is begin to learn! Wasting time worrying will only lead to failure, whereas spending time learning will lead to success in getting your driver's license.
Hope you found this article useful for you.

First Time Driving: Mady
Today's first time driver is Mady, who is a very serious competitor in the "least self esteem" competition of our first time drivers. Her video is called "Fail @ Driving" and she keeps putting subtitles saying "Fail" all over the video. But the best part of the video is definitely finding out what is "PRNDL". See if you can guess by yourself before watching the video (don't scroll down!).
Did you finish yet? Did you see what's the "PRNDL"?
Yes, it's the gear shifter, named after the letters that represent gears in automatic cars. A fantastic name.
This video was uploaded on September of this year, so Mady still has a long way to go. Hopefully by then she will gain self confidence, learn how to turn her car, and use the "PRNDL" correctly.
Good luck!

Lethal Grandma
Sometimes grandmothers can be deadly. I'm not talking about the times they stuff their kids and grandkids with candy, but about the times they get drunk. Then they become really lethal.
Allison Downer, a 70 year old grandmother, allegedly was driving drunk on September 18. While driving, she drove at Frank Van Kampen, a teacher who was riding his bike. Frank was killed by that hit.
Frank's friend said that Downer's driving was not very good from the beginning, and she passed a few cars before hitting Frank. She also hopes Downer will be charged with at least a manslaughter.
The trial will go in session soon, and will hopefully make justice with Frank.

Some More Great Test Tips
Driving test tips are what all learner drivers are looking after, and it even brought this blog a nice award. To continue this tradition, here is another article with some great tips, this time by Alan Vale.
Driving Test - Passing the Tests
Passing the driving test can be one of the hardest and most stressful things for you to do. You have practiced for months and are excited about finally being able to get a driver's license. You get behind the wheel and your excitement turns to nervousness. You start sweating and start to wonder, "Am I going to pass this driving test?"
All the anxiety takes its toll. Did you use your mirrors? Did you use your turn signals? Did you take too long to parallel park? All these questions and more are running through your head. No wonder it is so stressful!
You look at the examiner. You want to see some sign of how you did on the examiner's face. The examiner turns to you and tells you that you didn't pass. What? How could that happen? It's more common than you think.
Sure you have been practicing for months. You have taken every opportunity that you could grab; you even took your mom to the store. The only problem is remembering everything when you are taking your exam. In normal, everyday driving, you don't always get the chance to do things like parallel parking. You also, after a while, get used to doing some things as a reflex. For instance, checking your mirrors to backup or turning on the radio. When taking the driving test, sometimes these habits get in the way.
The written test is another problem all together. Different states have different standards for passing the test. What you have to study for each state can vary greatly; one state may lean more towards recognizing signs and another more towards knowing the laws.
Did you know that there is a more than a fifty percent chance that you will not pass the written test the first time? The odds are stacked against you! Sometimes this is because of nervousness, you know, when you get the test in front of you and suddenly you can't remember any of the answers. Sometimes, it is simply not studying enough of the right information. You studied all the signs, only to find out that there weren't any signs on the test.
The driving test does not have to be so hard. The key is having enough confidence in yourself and your abilities to be able to master taking the test. Nervousness and doubt can be your downfall. People have a tendency of making mistakes when they are nervous. People also have a tendency of second guessing themselves on tests, especially if it is multiple choice or true/false.
Being confident when you take your driving test takes away most of the anxiety. You're still going to be a little nervous, but not necessarily enough to make mistakes. When you are confident of your answers, you are more likely not to read the question again and allow yourself the opportunity to second guess yourself.
Now isn't it a better scenario to be able to walk in and take the driving tests and pass them the first time?
Alan Vaile is an expert blogger and gives you very good reviews about the best motor sites in Internet. In the next link you can take a look at one of the best Driving Test sites

Night driving is one the greatest pleasures of life. Traffic lights are shiny, they are always green, and there is no traffic at all. It's just a dream. Luckily, I had such a drive a few days ago, when I drove to a friend's birthday party.
When I drove back home, I had to drive some friends back home (they were drunk and tired). After I dropped one at home, I encountered a police block. The officer asked me if I drank, I said no, and he let me go. I really didn't drink, and I also don't look like the lying kind.
Eventually I came home pretty tired, but very happy. Another successful night drive complete.

Some More Test Tips for Your Success
Tips and tricks are what everyone is after when it comes to driving tests. All student drivers want the hottest tip to pass, how to get over that "annoying" examiner and how to shorten the way to the license. I wrote an article with some tips. They won't help you trick the examiner, but they will definitely help him or her appreciate you.
Driving Test Help - 5 Tips For Helping You Get Through the Exam
If you're going to take your driver's exam soon, you're probably feeling nervous. If so, then you're doing a good thing by looking for advice online. The internet is filled with plenty of tools and resources that'll provide you with the information and knowledge you'll need for passing.
Here are a few pointers on things you need to remember to do on the day of your driving test:
• If you need to slow down or stop, promptly take your foot off the gas pedal and then slowly, gently press down on the brakes. You need to slow down smoothly in order for the examiner to be pleased.
• Before turning right, visualize the center lane of the road onto which you'll be turning to be ahead of you, and use it as your focus point.
• Choose the appropriate gear ahead of time. Most people usually choose second gear. Never, ever change in the middle of a maneuver, as you will not want to take your hand off the wheel at all.
• If you need to stop for more than ten seconds, don't forget to use the handbrake. This will prevent your vehicle from rolling; and that will certainly be a bad thing if you're in heavy traffic.
• Get plenty of rest the night before the exam and eat breakfast the morning before the appointed time. Even if you're too nervous to eat, do so anyway, as you'll drive even worse if you're on an empty stomach.
Follow these five tips and read other how-to guides online. There are online driver's exam study courses and practice tests that'll really help you prepare. Be sure to check them out so that you can have a good idea of what you can expect during exam time.
Whatever you do, don't allow yourself to become too nervous. While you'll undoubtedly be somewhat nervous during your driving exam, you can increase your chances of getting through the driver's test successfully if you check out online study courses first.

Fail in School? Don't Drive
The Carroll County Comet reports about a very interesting way to keep students in classes with high grades. It's very simple: if a student fails a class - he can't drive to or from school. Simple, but brilliant.
This plan can be implemented at every school that has a good enough access without a car, like city schools. If students rely solely on cars, they can't be banned from using them, or this smart incentive won't work at them.
Once again, brilliant.

Driving Safely at Night
Driving at night can be enjoyable. In fact, the night is my favorite time of driving, mainly because there is little or no traffic. However, driving at night can also be very dangerous. Here is an article by Tom Tessin who explains very well what to watch out for when driving at night.
How to Drive Safe at Night
Enjoy driving at night? Find it peaceful to drive at night? Actually driving at night is way too dangerous than driving during the day although the traffic jam during the day is a nightmare. At night, our vision is limited and there might things that we missed or overlooked. You need to be extra careful when driving at night, as this will help you to be safer.
With the help of street lights and headlights, you can see the road but not as visible as under day light. As such, it is extremely important to have safety measures when you are driving at night. Precautions will help to avoid accidents that might take your life away. There are many reported accidents in the states and most of them are fatal accidents. Therefore it is extremely important to take all the precautions needed regardless day or night. You should never drink and drive, as you are not only risking yourself to life of other people too in the process. You should take good care, as this will help you to drive very safely over a period of time.
Be sure that your headlights work as it should be. If it is broken, get it fixed as soon as possible. Fixing the headlight only takes a few minutes and you only need to purchase the light bulb from the authorized seller of automotive accessories. Otherwise, you can send in to the workshop and have someone to repair it for you. You just need to pay for the service and the light bulb. Other than headlights, windscreen and other parts of the cars are important too. All the car light should be working, as this will give you a good view of things.
Be alert when you are driving at night. Alert to the changes around you and the vehicles around you. Sometimes there might be motorcyclists in the dark that you might not see them due to the darkness. Always drive slowly in extremely dark areas and never speed unnecessarily. Speeding will increase the chances of accidents. Be aware of the type of vehicles in front and at the back of your own vehicle. In times when you need to give way to other vehicles, be sure to give in rather than speed up. You should always take good precautions, as this will help things to be much safer.

Another Fantastic Lesson in Bad Driving
Last week, when I was on the roads near my house, I encountered, once again, the most annoying driving behavior that can be found. Yes, you know what I'm talking about. I've written at least three posts about it.
I'm talking about two cars driving side by side at the same, slow speed. For example, 80 km/h in a 90 km/h road. And why is that? Because one driver wants to change lanes, but he is not smart enough to accelerate to slow down to find an entry spot (the road was nearly empty). Because of that, he had to make a last minute maneuver, which is the worst thing that can be done on the road.
Here's an urgent call for those drivers: get a brain!

Preparation - The Key for Your License
One key step in getting your driver's license is preparation. You need to pass two tests, practice, and have everything ready in order to be a licensed driver. Here is an article I wrote about this topic.
Make Sure You Prepare Yourself So That You Can Get Your Driver's License
Getting your driver's license is a ticket to freedom. So many people look forward to having their license, but don't like the idea of having to take the road test. In order to get your driver's license though, you need to pass both the written and the road test. They might not be easy, but you have to take them nonetheless.
You probably want to pass on the first try, don't you? Everyone does. Still, not many people do, and nobody likes the idea of having to take an exam over and over again. So, in order to ensure that you do indeed pass the first attempt, you need to prepare yourself accordingly.
Make sure you practice every day with an experienced adult driver. You need to learn all the rules and know how to drive properly. You'll also need to study written material and take practice tests. The handbook that your DMV provides you with only provides so much information, however, so you need to look for more resources.
The internet is a great place to start. There are some online driving resources, including software, practice tests, and how-to guides that you can go over in order to learn everything you need to know about passing.
You should also take advantage of tips and driving secrets that are available online, so that you know what to expect. You can learn about what your examiner will be testing you for, and what you can do in order to impress him or her. You can also read experiences from others who've recently taken their tests for some ideas on how to keep your nerves down and remain focused during the big day.
Do your best to remain calm when taking the test and you'll increase your chances of driving correctly. Check out all the available tips, secrets, and guides about drivers' road tests online.
Hope you found this article useful.

This video was uploaded last month, so MJ still has a long way to go until she gets her license. By the way she drives now, it wouldn't be a big deal for her.
Good luck!
