Forgetful and Dangerous

Dementia is a serious illness that requires reporting to the RTA (Australia's DMV). However, many people never report it in fear of losing their license.

In that case, there are many people that no one can trust their cognitive abilities in an emergency on the road, and the situation will worsen as the population ages. There have been many calls to change the driving test to "catch" those with dementia, but nothing has been done so far.

The RTA will now look into this problem, and hopefully only mentally healthy people will be on the road.
