20 Serious Mistakes

Today is the last weekday of 2011, and for a good closing, here is a list of twenty mistakes that will send you to another test.

20 Driving Test Mistakes You Need to Avoid if You Want to Pass

When it comes to driving tests, the examiner's list is VERY long. There are dozens of things that they look for. Knowing what they look for will enable you to prepare yourself better. You might not feel as nervous on the day of your driver's exam if you are well-prepared.

You'll be happy to know that there are online resources that will help you prepare yourself! You can view a list of things on which you will be tested.

Did you know that you might even lose some points for not arriving on time?

Here is a guide on some of items commonly found on an examiner's list.

1. Unfamiliarity with starting procedures
2. Using wrong gear to start
3. Failing to depress clutch pedal and/or release hand brake
4. Starting off too fast
5. Failing to signal properly
6. Moving off without checking for traffic, including pedestrians
7. Changing gear too quickly, or not quickly enough
8. Changing to an incorrect gear
9. Coasting in neutral
10. Steering with incorrect position of hands on wheel
11. Jerking the steering wheel
12. Driving too close to the centerline
13. Steering with one hand during inappropriate times
14. Reversing too fast
15. Going at an erratic speed
16. Bumps into the curb when parallel parking
17. Allows the engine to stall
18. Doesn't use the rearview mirror regularly
19. Turning from incorrect position on the roadway
20. Failing to angle the wheels in the correct position when parking next to curb

These 20 mistakes are quite common for first-time testers. They should give you an idea of what you need to learn when you practice driving.

Here are a few tips on how to prepare yourself for your driver's test:

• Practice plenty beforehand. Practice on side roads. Practice driving in parking lots. Practice parallel parking. Practice on streets. Start off driving in secluded areas and work your way up to busier areas.

• Get plenty of sleep the night before, and eat a big breakfast. Even if you're not hungry, you should make yourself eat. If you don't eat, you'll be more likely to feel anxious and nervous. Before you step in the car at the testing site, take a deep breath and tell yourself that "everything is going to be okay."

• During the actual drive, listen to everything your examiner says. The actual test should take 5-10 minutes. Also, don't be surprised if your examiner tries to trick you. This is why you should know all of the rules!

• Let's say your road test is going well. You're almost finished and excited that you did a good job. Whatever you do, don't get so excited that you forget how to park properly! Take your time if you have to. Try not to hit the curb!

Hopefully, you now have a better idea of what your driving test is going to be like. Regardless of where you live, MOST of the rules are the same!

You can learn more driving test mistakes to avoid by checking out online guides! Online driving guides will teach you everything you need to know to prepare yourself for both the written exam and the road exam.

Getting your driver's license is not that hard. If you would like to pass your driving test without trying so hard, you should get yourself this amazing driving test guide.

Enjoy your last weekday of this year!

Selecting the Right Insurance

If you own a car, it is definitely necessary to choose the right insurance. Depending on your car and your driving habits, there are many insurance packages available. As there are dozens of car insurance companies on the market, it is only sensible to choose the right insurance package carefully. Rates vary by car class, amount of miles driven and other factors.

Ally Financial is the former GMAC insurance company, which changed its name in 2010. The company was founded in 1939 and has branches in several countries around the world. They are active not only in the USA, but also in Canada, Mexico, and several countries in Europe. Besides car insurance, Ally also offers financing plans for purchasing or mortgaging vehicles.

Farmers Insurance Group is the third largest insurance group in the USA, providing service to over 10 Million households in 41 states. Farmers Group's headquarters are based in Los Angeles, but it is owned by a Swiss holding company. They offer insurances for privately and collectively used vehicles alike, and are therefore also a good choice for families.

Allstate Corporation was founded in 1931 and is since then one of the leading insurance companies in the United States and Canada. They are famous for low insurance rates combined with excellent customer service for all people. But especially teenagers and older people can find good insurance packages for their cars there.

A quite new company, Kemper, which was founded in 1990 as Unitrin, struggled its way up to become one of the leading insurance companies in the United States. Like several other companies, they offer excellent insurance rates for cars and other vehicles. Kemper helps more than 6 Million households with insurances for their assets.

Of course, the best insurance can never completely remove all the hassle that is involved with an accident. But knowing, that in the worst case you will be in good hands helps you be relaxed and therefore a safer driver.

Super-Traffic

On Sunday and Monday I attended a seminar in a city not far away from here. If the roads are empty, I can get there in about 30 minutes, even less. However, getting there in the morning is a much more complicated business.

I left my house on 7:00 to get there after 8:00. Traffic was like a snail. Moving very, very slowly. After I somehow made it there, I had to look for parking and pay quite a big sum to park there. On both days.

Something needs to be done about this problem. Building more roads on the surface is quite impossible, so the only solution is a subway or underground tunnel. Road capacity must increase.

Practicing and Preparing Tips

It's Friday again and it's time for some more great driving test tips. Here they come.

How to Pass Your Driving Test - 8 Tips for Practicing & Preparing Yourself for the Test

If you're feeling nervous or anxious about your driver's test, DON'T BE! You can prepare yourself by practicing with a good driver and taking advantage of online resources.

These resources include checklists, practice tests, how-to videos, interactive guides, and more. You can learn what to expect when you take the test. You might even be able to find maps of the test routes in your area!

These driving tips will also help you prepare for the test:

1. Practice every chance you get in a relatively empty area, such as an old country road or parking lot. The person with whom you practice should be either a professional or a very good, responsible driver.

2. Find out where the test routes are and practice driving in that area. There are normally 10 or so routes for every driving test center. If you get plenty of practice driving in the area beforehand, you will find the test taking process to be easy.

3. Adjust the seat to fit your height so that you will feel comfortable behind the wheel. Ideally, you should sit about a foot from the wheel, and your hands should be bent at approximately 45 degrees.

4. Don't forget the details! Remember to check your mirrors once in a while. Remember to brake gently whenever you prepare for a stop. Make sure you use signal lights whenever you make a turn or change lanes. And, of course, remember how to parallel park correctly!

5. Make sure you have all of the hand gestures and street signs down pat before you take the driver's test! This shouldn't be too hard just as long as you practice driving along the testing routes.

6. When you get in the car with the examiner, try to relax! Adjust the seat, mirrors, and the steering wheel. Make sure your examiner has his/her seatbelt on. Sometimes they will purposely leave it off just to see if you notice.

7. Practice parallel parking. When you parallel park, you should turn your indicators on. Failing to do so during the test will cost you points. Go carefully and slowly. Look to the sides and to the back. Try not to hit the curb.

8. This tip is a no-brainer, yet you'd be surprised at the number of people who forget to prepare their vehicles! Make sure you have the registration, and all of the indicators and headlights work. The tires should be in good condition and there should be no cracks in the windshield.
Follow these 8 tips and you should do well when you take your driving test.

Reading online driving guides and taking practice tests will help you pass your road test! Online guides cover everything from driving practicing tips to checklists. There are also videos that will teach you how to drive.

Getting your driver's license is not that hard. If you would like to pass your driving test without trying so hard, you should get yourself this amazing driving test guide.

The two most dangerous groups of drivers and young drivers and old drivers. To help identify which of the old drivers is more dangerous than others, Dr. Carol Snellgrove developed a very simple test: a maze.

The maze itself is very simple, and Dr. Snellgrove discovered that people who took more than 60 seconds to complete it are worse drivers than ones who needed less than a minute.

However, the only way to tell if someone is good or bad is through a real driving test. Even a maze can't replace that.

Insurance on a Rental Car

When driving a rental car, it's very important to have the proper insurance. The rental company usually provides some basic insurance, but it's always good to see what you're getting. Here is an article by about this topic.

Guide to Rental Car Insurance

Rental car insurance always baffles car owners as most of them don't even know whether it is worth buying or not. Most of the experienced agents from the top auto insurance companies will inform you that getting this kind of insurance is completely inefficient. Of course it is still applicable for some of the car owners, but most drivers are simply overpaying. There are several options that confirm it.

Now, the big secret is that pretty much all of the offers that rental company provides is already included with even most basic auto insurance. So by getting rental car insurance you are paying for the very same thing that you have already got, which is a waste of money. The best thing you can do is to investigate what options are covered by your provider prior going to the rental firm.

For instance, collision and comprehensive coverage can be excluded if you have it with your regular auto insurance. Even just collision insurance will be sufficient, as it is the most common with regular car insurance. Same is truth with the liability insurance coverage, that while being not such a frequent purchase can be neglected as well. Medical expenses are the least of your concerns, even if you don't have it in your auto insurance policy, you might just have separate health coverage. The only thing that is quite rare purchase with insurance company is personal effect coverage, which will help you to get compensation in case personal items like phone, laptop or cash will be stolen from a car.

So, as you can see most of the coverages that are included in a rental car insurance are available with your personal cheap auto insurance; it doesn't even have to be full coverage insurance. Even if you do not have insurance at all, since you are not a car owner and still want to rent a car, your credit card will work as your insurance. Certain amount is deducted daily from the card, depending on the firm that you rent the car with. Alternatively, if you are renting cars frequently you will be better off acquiring non-owner insurance coverage with any top auto insurance company, paying up to $600 maximum and avoiding those deductions from your card.

All in all you can see that rental car insurance is necessary only for those who don't have car insurance to begin with. If you do, make sure to check with your auto insurance company and the credit card company to be confirm that you are protected.

The winter has many advantages. Temperatures are low, so entering the car doesn't make me sweaty. There is no need for air conditioning, and the rain keeps my car clean. The problem starts after the rain is over.

There are some maintenance works on the road near my house, and they brought big piles of sand with them. The rain didn't go well with that, and the entire road, including my car, is full of mud.

A day after, it's all dry. The road is covered with sand and my car looks like an SUV even though it's a super-mini. Now I have to clean it. Again.

What Examiners Look For

Examiners may look scary to you when you take the test, but they are actually looking for very specific things that can easily be checked. Here is an article about it.

Driving Test Tips - Learn What Your Examiner Will Be Watching For

A driver's test isn't easy. Even if you're well-prepared, you still might make some mistakes. A large number of first-time takers fail. If you want to pass, you need to learn all there is to know about the test taking process. What is it that examiners watch for?

You can actually find driving test secrets online! There are guides which include details about what the examiners look for. If you know what they're going to look for ahead of time, you'll be able to better prepare yourself.

You can also prepare yourself by driving. In most areas, minors must complete 50 hours of training before taking a driving test. It's best to practice with a responsible adult who will be able to provide you with constructive criticism.

When you first start out, go to an empty parking lot. Get used to the feeling of being behind the wheel. Next, move on to an old country road with no traffic. Once you get the hang of staying in your lane, you can move on to a slightly busy road, and then finally to a busy road or freeway.

See if you can find some maps of the testing routes. They are available online for some cities. If you can't find a map of the testing routes in your city, ask friends where the testing site is and drive all around it and familiarize yourself with the signs.

Another useful resource you can find online is a checklist. A checklist will include reminders such as:

• When starting, accelerate smoothly.
• When stopping, brake gently.
• Steer smoothly. Never jerk the wheel.
• Pay attention to all of the signs.
• Always obey speed limits.
• Remember to signal for all turns and lane changes.
• Slow down at yellow lights. Prepare to stop for the red light.
• Use the three-second rule when following behind another vehicle.
• Always drive defensively. Anticipate other drivers' maneuvers.
• Keep your eyes scanning the road around you and in front of you.
• Make sure the vehicle is in correct gear!

These are just some examples of all of the things you need to remember to do when you drive.
You won't just be tested on how well you drive. Your vehicle will also be inspected. You won't even be able to take your test if something is wrong with your car or truck!

Here are some of the things the examiner will be checking for:

• Working brake lights
• Both turn signal lights
• A windshield that provides a full field of vision• Adequate brake pressure
• A working horn
• Working safety belts
• That the driver's door and passenger door(s) open from the outside and inside
• That the tires are in good condition
• A secured glove compartment door

Now you have a better idea of how to prepare yourself (and your car) for the driving test!

Check out some resources and tools to help you pass your driver's test! You can prepare yourself for the driving test by taking advantage of online resources, including checklists and practice tests.

Getting your driver's license is not that hard. If you would like to pass your driving test without trying so hard, you should get yourself this amazing driving test guide.

Half Fail a Trial Test

The Tucheng District in China was the place where a new trial driving test took place. The results, as you can guess from the title, are not so good.

A 50% fail rate is not uncommon, and it seems that even new tests can't help the learners raise this figure. Since this was a trial test, it was taken by 33 drivers who already have their license, so the new test didn't affect their future. And yet, even without this pressure, 17 of them failed.

I said it already, and I'll say it a thousand times more: practice, practice, practice!

Full Coverage Insurance for a Low Price

As you read here every Monday, car insurance is not cheap. However, can help you find a full coverage insurnace policy for a low price.

Cheap Full Coverage Auto Insurance

Why would one want to have full coverage auto insurance

Pretty much every sensible driver absolutely must have full coverage insurance whenever they can afford it. Who wouldn't want to drive without a fear of having an accident and not loosing tremendous amount of money? With it you can cover yourself all around from any kind of traffic complications. Such car insurance is especially needed if you are driving someone else's car or a company car. Even driving a car on a loan would be much safer if you have it fully insured. The only car owners that don't need it, are the ones whose car value is so low, that he or she would lose much more with this kind of auto insurance rather than totaling the car.

What one should have covered with full coverage auto insurance

First and foremost thing to consider is collision and comprehensive coverage. It is required to ensure that you will be reimbursed in case your car sustains any kind of damage, be that of hitting the car or your car drowning in a flood. Another major point is liability insurance coverage, which should be able to handle all of the legal expenses including paying off funds that were lost during the trial. And lastly you would need uninsured motorist coverage. In case a driver who has no insurance or is underinsured hits you, your own automobile insurance will assume the role of that person's insurance carrier and will arrange repairs and will cover the medical expenses if you have the health coverage as well. And that is another point; if you wish to find cheap full coverage auto insurance you can disregard the medical coverage if you have an adequate health policy.

How to get cheap full coverage auto insurance quotes

In order to receive cheapest car insurance you need to shop around. You probably heard that countless times, but it is genuinely the most effective way to find what you are looking for. There are numerous online resources and software available, which will help you to generate several best quotes for you. All you will need to do is single out the best ones that suit you and work from there. Do not forget to give those companies a call to confirm the details and inquire about the specials. Every insurance company provides certain discount for the full coverage insurance if you pay upfront and take it with additional packages, like life or health insurance. Some actually have bonus promotions, like covering the pet or replacing mechanical parts when they wear out. GEICO, Progressive, Nationwide, Infinity and almost all of the major auto insurance companies provide cheap full coverage insurance with extra features.

One can see the tremendous benefit a driver can obtain with the purchase of the full coverage car insurance. And the best thing is that if you do it smart you won't even have to pay ridiculously high rates for it. Follow the guidelines and enjoy safe and stress free ride for affordable price.

On Speed and Mileage

We often hear that high speeds are very gas consuming, and going slowly can help you save gas. But is it the truth? From my experience, the answer is no.

My car, like any new car, has a computer that calculates the distance left until the gas will run out (very inaccurate) and the gas mileage. Usually, it shows that my car does about 13 km per liter (multiply by 2.3625 to get miles per gallon). That figure matches all the traffic lights I have around here.

But when I go on the freeway (or get a miraculous green wave), I can often get this figure up to 15 and even 16 km per liter. This may seem like a small improvement, but it adds up quickly with long travels and the high price of gas around here.

What did you find? Higher speeds give you a better mileage figure or a worse one?

Score High on the Driving Test

Some people don't want just to pass the driving test, they want to do so with a high score (seriously, such people exist). For them, here is an article with great tips how to achieve this.

10 Tips for Getting High Marks on Your Driver’s Test

Are you getting ready to take your driver's license test? If so, then you're probably feeling anxious. Even if you get a lot of practice in, you still might end up forgetting something.

You'll be glad to know that there are tons of tips and resources online that will help you prepare yourself. You can even find secrets on things you can do to impress your test examiner!

To get you started, here are a few important things that you need to remember on the day of your test:

1. Don't forget to show signals for all turns! Remember to look both ways before turning or passing.

2. Pay close attention to speed limits. Don't go over the limit or under the limit. Some first-time test takers go slower than the speed limit. You don't want to do this. Practice driving along the test routes, at the appropriate speed limits, BEFORE you take the test.

3. Practice parallel parking. Take some large boxes and put them in an empty parking lot. Practice parking in between them.

4. When you're parallel parking, make sure you are approximately a meter apart from your car and the vehicle parked at the right side of the road. Be careful not to hit the curb!
5. When you see an approaching stop sign or red light, brake gently. You will be tested on whether your stops are hard or smooth!

6. When changing lanes, check the rearview mirror and your blind spots as you signal. If you're moving over two lanes, keep the signal on until you approach the selected lane.

7. Before you drive off, don't forget to check the mirror, signal properly, and check your blind spot. Don't get in a hurry. Wait until there's an opening which will give you plenty of time to get on the road.

8. Remember: yellow does NOT mean "go slow", it means "slow down" and prepare to stop for the red light! When the light finally turns green, or you get a green arrow, make sure that the road is clear of vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians.

9. Your eyes shouldn't be focused on the same spot the entire time! They should be moving from the left, in front of you, and to the right. Look in the review mirror every few seconds as well. Be aware of everything that is surrounding you from every direction.

10. Always anticipate what other drivers are about to do. If you anticipate that they are going to make a mistake, prepare to counter it. Don't let them cause you to crash out of nowhere. ALWAYS expect the unexpected!

If you follow these 10 tips, you should do well on your road test.

Did you know that there are tons of driving tips and resources online? You can find all of the information you need for preparing yourself for the test AND passing it! You can also find practice exams for the written road test.

Getting your driver's license is not that hard. If you would like to pass your driving test without trying so hard, you should get yourself this amazing driving test guide.

Harsh Law Softened

In B.C., Canada, there is a law stating that if you are caught driving drunk, your license can be suspended for 90 days, your car impounded, and will have to pay a few thousand dollars in fines and other fees to regain your driving privileges and your car.

However, a judge, Jon Sigurdson, found B.C.'s laws very harsh and decided to rule against them in court.

His main argument was the inability of the driver to challenge the results. People caught driving drunk had no right for a lawyer, and the BAC measuring device had no memory, so there is no way to challenge the machine after the initial test.

Hopefully Sigurdson's ruling will signal lawmakers everywhere that we want safe roads, but we want our rights as well.

Annoying Traffic Lights

Traffic lights around my house have sensors. It means that whenever I am not on the main road and I stop at the line, a sensor sends a signal that makes the light turn green. If there is no traffic coming from other directions, I only have to wait a few seconds until I get a green.

Sadly, it doesn't work the same way in all traffic lights. Last week I went to a basketball game and all I wanted was to turn right into the parking lot. I had to wait THREE rounds before the light turned green. Someone didn't do a really good job in there.

Hopefully this situation will be fixed soon. It's nearly impossible to drive there during events.

Prepare Well For A Great Test

It's another Friday, which means it's time for some more driving test tips. Here they are.

Driving Test Tips: Learn How to Prepare Yourself So That Your Road Test Goes Smoothly

Everybody wants to get their driver's license on the first try. Unfortunately, only 50% of test takers pass the first time. Either they're not prepared or they're simply too nervous to concentrate. If you are worried that you might not pass, you need to practice every day.

Not only should you practice, you should also study and take practice tests. The internet is filled with helpful information. You can read online guides which include secrets that will help you get through the big day.

Here are a few driving tips to help you get started:

1. As with anything, the more you practice, the more comfortable you will be. Practice driving with a responsible adult. Check out Google Earth to get a good view of the testing site. Go driving around the testing area every single day. Practice until you know the testing routes like the back of your hand.

2. You're not going to get very far with your driving if you don't learn the rules! You won't become a good driver if you don't learn the rules of the road. Sure, the DMV handbook is boring to read, but if you look on the internet you can find some fun interactive guides, which include how-to videos and practice tests.

3. The more you practice and learn, the more confident you will be. Confidence is essential if you want to pass your driving test! You'll be less likely to feel nervous. One thing that you DON'T want to do is to rely solely on the regular guidebook given to you by the DMV. There are better guides online.

4. Of course, there's no guarantee that you won't feel some nervousness on the big day. No matter how well you prepare yourself, your nerves still might be on edge. Make sure you get plenty of sleep the night before so that you feel refreshed during the test. Work out the night before so that you will get good sleep and feel less stressful in the morning. You might also want to envision that the test examiner is someone else, such as a parent or aunt.

5. Do you have any friends who recently took their road test? Ask them what you can expect. Ask them what their examiner was like. If the examiner sounds scary, ask your friend what mistakes he/she made so that you can avoid making them just in case you end up with the same scary examiner.

6. Practice driving with a RESPONSIBLE adult - not that cool aunt who will lie back and let you do whatever you want. The person with whom you practice should also be calm. You'll never learn how to drive if the person in the passenger seat yells at you over every little thing you do.
If you follow these driving test tips, you should be able to pass your exam on the first try! Good luck!

You can learn tons of driving test secrets online. There are guides, videos, and practice quizzes that will provide you with everything you need for preparing yourself. You can also learn about the common mistakes that first-time testers make, and what you can do to avoid making those mistakes.

Getting your driver's license is not that hard. If you would like to pass your driving test without trying so hard, you should get yourself this amazing driving test guide.

Hopefully this article will help you,

A Mile Tax

When we want to drive today, we have to use gasoline. One of the hidden costs there is tax. It's pretty low in the US (and over 50% of the gas price in Europe). However, when gas prices started to rise and cars started to become more efficient, the revenue from this tax started to decline.

There is a new idea now - mile tax. Your car will have a device that measures how much you traveled, and charges you accordingly.

What do you think about it? Do you support it?

As much as I oppose taxes, I think that there is no way to avoid a tax hike for transportation. Unless we want the roads to break down, we have to pay for it.

The Truth of Cheap Insurance

When we want to insure ourselves, we look for the cheapest price with the highest coverage. Here is an article by that reveals the truth about it.

The Truth About Cheapest Auto Insurance Companies

Auto insurance is mandatory in most of the states, which means that if you are caught without a proof of financial responsibility you will be facing serious consequences. Majority of the drivers do not understand that this state law was written not to rip off car owners, but to protect them and everyone involved in a car accident. This is exactly why most drivers go for the cheapest car insurance companies as they do not see a proper coverage as something serious and necessary. By doing so, one is making a huge mistake as in case something does happen, a car owner might end up in a financial pit with little chance of crawling out of there.

Always keep in mind that merely driving a car even in a safe neighborhood imposes a potential risk and neglecting an adequate coverage is something you don't want to do. You might be completely positive about your driving skill and expertise and truly have no accidents due to your fault, however if you did get in an accident and it is not your fault, you are still going to turn to your auto insurance. If you chose cheap auto insurance firm, they will try their best to cover themselves up from handling your claims. You can take it to court if you wish and spend another couple of years in process waiting to win over the car insurance company. But to what avail? It is a major inconvenience and a waste of your time in a best case scenario.

Try to steer clear of smaller low-cost auto insurance companies even if they tempt you with an amazingly cheap price. Most of the time local companies are painful to be dealing with, even though they are much more aware of the policies and regulations in that particular state. They normally offer customers state minimum liability and thus falsely claiming to be cheapest auto insurance company available, and you do not want to end up with the state minimum at any point. So try to work with bigger firms that operate statewide. They have a reputation to maintain and will never want to take the case as far as the court with a customer. Truth be told, they might prove to be a little bit more expensive, but with car insurance you get what you pay for.

In case you have several violations, be those serious or mundane, there is a high chance that the license will be suspended or revoked. In this case a car owner will be required to obtain state minimum liability coverage through SR-22 insurance. It proves your financial responsibility without having an actual driving permit. Only in this case you can turn to cheap auto insurance firm, especially if they focus on SR-22 insurance.

Cheapest car insurance does not necessary correspond to dependable auto insurance company, to learn how to pick reliable cheapest auto insurance company proceed to AutoInsuranceMonitor.com

Rainy Week

Rain has returned, my friends. I've said it here plenty of times, and I will say it plenty more. This week I had to drive multiple times in rain, and it just gets harder every time.

Apparently, the roads here aren't so good. They have some patches of really good asphalt, and then a few kilometers of road which just "glues" water. This causes massive water spray from cars driving in front of me.

The rain is here to stay and get even stronger, and I'm not complaining about this. My only problem with rain is rain driving. It can be a challenge, but I prefer to have my challenges in less dangerous situations.

Cheap California Car Insurance

Today is Black Friday, a day known for its great savings and deals. For that, here is an article about getting lower insurance quotes for California.

The Best Way to Find Cheap California Car Insurance

California undoubtedly has the highest car insurance rates in the country. Considering it's the most populated state with some of the busiest highways, the high cost really isn't all that surprising. Millions of Californians are struggling to keep up with the costs associated with driving. It's unfortunate that coverage costs are so expensive during a time in which gas prices are out of the roof.

If you want to get cheap California car insurance, then you need to understand the types of coverages. In this state, drivers are really only required by law to have liability insurance. The minimum for this type of coverage is $15,000 to pay for any injuries sustained by the driver or passengers in the other vehicle. This is if you are the one who is at fault, of course, so if you want the coverage to be as affordable as possible, make an impression to the providers that you are a responsible driver. Even if nobody in the other vehicle is injured, you will still have to pay at least $5,000 to cover the damages. That can be a lot of money, so it's obviously a wise idea to always be a responsible driver.

California insurers also offer other plans, including: Collision, Comprehensive, Personal Injury Protection, and Uninsured / Underinsured Mototorist. If you can afford to do so, get as much additional coverage as you can. It can be difficult to acquire cheap California car insurance, especially if you want a lot of coverage, but there are still companies that give out discounts.

There are numerous companies and thousands of California auto insurance agents offering discounts and quotes online. The best way to find cheap insurance is to shop around and compare yourself. You can receive many quotes at once. Before applying for anything though, make sure you research each company first. Most providers from California have a web presence these days, so you should be able to find everything you're looking for at home on your computer!

Your search can begin right now. You need to be aware of all your options if you want cheap California car insurance. There are various programs, incentives, discounts, and money making opportunities available - you just need to know where and when to look for them!

I hope you found this article useful,

Different Types of Insurance Coverage

When you purchase car insurance, it's important to understand what it covers. For that reason, I have an article by which explains in well.

Types of Car Insurance Coverage

Car insurance is not something that people enjoy paying for. Like most things in the insurance world, it is available as a precautionary measure. Do you really need it though? Have you ever been in a wreck? Chances are you have. The short answer is yes, you do need car insurance. Now what you wanted to hear I am sure, but it is the truth. In the event of an accident you want to be covered. Accidents can happen at any moment and often times without warning. Therefore it is important to purchase coverage to protect yourself, but how do you know what you need. There are few different types of coverage that is available to everyday drivers. Here I list the different types of coverage so that you will have a better understanding. Only you can decide which is best for you and your vehicle.

The most common form of coverage is auto liability coverage. This type of coverage will pay for the damage is you are responsible for the accident and there has been harm to another individual or property. For this reason this type of coverage can be broken up into two categories: Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability. Depending on where you live, there may be different laws in place that express exactly what you have to cover. Personal Injury will cover any medical expenses that a person will incur from your accident. This can include: rehab, lost earnings, replacement of services, and funeral expenses. It will also provide legal coverage in the event of a lawsuit against you. This however does not cover your medical expenses. Just like Bodily Injury, Property Damage covers you if your vehicle cause harm to other property.

Another type is comprehensive coverage. This type covers your vehicle and any others that you might be driving. This type of coverage protects your vehicle in the event that it is stole, or damaged. Check with your provider to get specifics. Most policies should cover damage by fire or flood. Other areas that may be covered are: wind, hail, vandalism, theft, or being hit by an animal. With comprehensive your insurance covers your cost minus you deductible. Just like medical insurance works, you pay the repair shop a set amount and then the insurance provider covers the rest. Chances are if you are financing a vehicle you have to have comprehensive coverage.

Another form of coverage is collision. This coverage covers exactly how it sounds. If your car hits or is hit by another vehicle then it is covered. Just like with comprehensive coverage, you can usually pick how much you want your deductible to be depending how much you can afford monthly.

With all of the different types only you can decide which type is best for you. Someone that lives in the city may not need coverage for the car being hit by an animal whereas someone who lives around a lot of animals may know that having that covered is a necessity. Check with your insurance carrier and make sure that you have at least the state mandated minimums and then build form there what you want and can afford.

Just Unbelievable

I visited some friends on Sunday and left their house late at night. On my way back home, I approached a traffc light with a green light for my direction. Then I saw someone turn left on the intersection right in front of me.

Traffic lights here are not like in Europe or the US. If you want to turn left, you need the left turn light. This means someone arrived at the light, saw that no one is there, and ran the red light.

It took me several seconds to understand what just happened. Fortunately, I was very far away from the light, so it didn't affect me. The only problem was that my light turned red (the intersection has sensors).

Please, promise me: don't be idiots. Red means stop 24 hours a day, every day. Even if the intersection is empty and no car is approaching for miles away, red means stop. Don't surprise anyone.

Seven Stpes for Passing

It's another beautiful Friday, which is the perfect time for some driving test tips. Here they are.

Hoping to Pass Your Driver’s Test? Here Are 7 Steps to Help You Prepare

Having your driver's license will give you plenty of freedom. You can go just about anywhere you want, just as long as you have enough gas money. You can go out on the road and explore!

In order to have that luxury, though, you must pass a driving test. There is a written test AND a road examination you need to pass. The written test is easier since it's multiple choice (in most places). There are practice questions online to help you prepare.

The road exam, however, isn't so easy. It's more than just driving around for a few minutes. It's about proving that you are a good, learned driver. You must prove - and show - that you understand the rules of the road.

Here are the steps you need to take in order to prepare for your driving test.

1. Practice as much as you can on a relatively empty road. Try to find an old country road somewhere and practice driving on it every day. You'll need a good, responsible driver with you to help you.

2. Once you get the hang of driving on a small road, venture out onto a highway. Ideally, you should practice when traffic is slow. You don't want your first time driving on a highway to be during rush hour.

3. Read everything you can find on driving on the internet. There are ebooks, practice tests, tips, guides, etc. Watch videos on how to drive safely.

4. Find out where the test routes are going to be. You might be able to find some maps online. There are around 10 or so routes per test center. Practice driving all around the test area. Get to know the streets and the routes like the back of your hand.

5. Determine your weaknesses and work on improving them. If you have trouble with parallel parking, go to an empty parking lot and put down large boxes. Practice parking in between them. If you suffer from anxiety when driving on busy roads, learn how to stay calm. You can find relaxation techniques for new drivers online.

6. Don't forget the small, but important things like occasionally checking the rearview mirror and using your indicator when needed. While you're at it, don't forget to come to a full stop at red lights and stop signs.

7. The night before the test, try to get as much sleep as possible. Eat a big breakfast in the morning. Do whatever you can to keep yourself calm: yoga, breathing exercise, meditation, etc. Try to be confident in yourself. As long as you practiced every chance you got, you shouldn't feel too nervous.

Good luck!

You can learn just about everything there is to know online. Just read the secrets and details that aren't found in your basic study guide. There are online driving courses to help you learn how to drive safely as well.

Getting your driver's license is not that hard. If you would like to pass your driving test without trying so hard, you should get yourself this amazing driving test guide.

Also, driving examiners will soon be given a digital pen to write their assessments of drivers-to-be. Those assessments will be automatically uploaded to the RTA's computers.

It's good to see that some countries finally move to the digital age instead of being stuck in the past.

Auto Insurance Kinds

Auto insurance policies come in many varieties. Cheap ones, expensive ones, ones that cover more, and ones that cover only the basics required by law. who already has an article here returns with another one to describe the different types.

Explaining The Different Kinds Of Auto Insurance

An agreement between an indemnity company and an insured regarding covering the automobile of the insured is called auto insurance. The role of the owner of the auto mobile is to pay premiums periodically. The indemnity company in turn promises to support the owner in case the vehicle gets an accident. After the expiry of the policy, another one is signed. Different insurance companies have different cover schemes. In French, assurance auto means auto insurance.

The policy covers against injuries that one may get, damage caused, support for the medical bills, motorist coverage and even collision coverage. When you have bodily harm, you get the legal costs covered. This is if someone else has filed a case against you. Property coverage is when you are sued by another person for causing damage to their property by the accident you had.

Medical expenses are catered for even if you are injured and the accident happened in a car that was not yours. There is also another coverage that is called uninsured or under insured. In this type of cover, you are protected against vehicles that were not insured or were under insured.

Those who opt for the comprehensive cover are covered against any damage, theft or even natural calamities that may affect the vehicle. The amount paid by a indemnity company is for these repairs or complete replacement of the vehicle. You can get a new vehicle if the one you had is regarded to as salvage. Collision coverage is for vehicles that collide with the others. Not necessarily other vehicles but could also be persons or even objects.

If your vehicle has theft devices that allow you to track your car in case it is stolen, then you can get discounts on the premiums. You can also get discounts if you have more than one insurance policy with that same company.

There are different types of auto cover policies. Liability cover is one of them. This is the minimum and it requires that if you are in an accident and it is concluded that you are at fault, then you have no choice other than the indemnity company to pay for the damages and any injuries resulting from the accident. If you can afford to pay for a higher type of cover then it is better as you will be comfortably covered. In this cover you will end up paying for your own vehicle repairs.

The second type of cover is collision cover. This ensures that the company you have insured at repairs your vehicle. If it ends being declared salvage, then it will be paid its value. The value paid is usually that one that it was worth just before the accident occurred. This insurance is much better for the cars that are expensive. If you have an old car, you will end up paying more amount of money in premiums.

The third category is comprehensive. While the collision and the liability cover the accidents, comprehensive usually cover almost everything. It covers animal collision, weather and theft damages. This is the most comprehensive insurance cover.

With over 50 years of experience, This insurance firm provides complete home and Assurance Auto solutions to consumers. Fast, easy and reliable, find the Soumission Assurance Auto that will meet your needs!

Safe Habits

Today's date is once-in-100-years occurance, and to celebrate that I will give you an article I wrote with ten safe driving habits.

Driving Test Tips: 10 Safe Habits That Every Good Driver Must Follow

In order to pass your driver's test you need to develop good driving habits. It's easier to develop bad habits than good habits. This is why learning how to drive isn't easy. Just because you know how to steer a car doesn't mean you will be able to pass your test. You must know and follow the rules of the road.

Did you know that only half of the people who take their driving test past the first time? The other half of the examinees have to take their test a second, third, or even fourth time before they finally pass!

It's a good idea to stay as calm as possible during the test. Getting nervous is fine - everybody does. What's important is how you deal with the nervousness. You can't let it get the best of you. You must breathe deeply and relax before you begin your test.

If you develop good driving habits right now, you'll feel less nervous when you take the exam.

Here are some good habits that drivers must possess.

1. Get your vehicle ready before driving. Your seatbelt needs to be on. Make sure your passenger(s) have their seatbelt(s) on.

2. Make gradual starts and stops. Never brake hard unless it's an emergency and you have no choice.

3. Before putting your foot on the pedal, make sure that the path is clear up ahead.

4. Pay attention to your line of sight. When it becomes restricted, reduce the speed.

5. Know when to start reducing speed so that you can stop in time for a red light or stop sign.

6. Before entering an intersection, check that your right, front, and left zones are clear.

7. Always check for blind spots before moving the car to either side.

8. You should always be four seconds behind the vehicle in front of you. Take note to where they are and start counting "2,001, 2,002, 2,003, 2,004". By the time you get to the last number, you should be at that spot.

9. Anticipate dangerous mistakes by other drivers ahead of time. Be prepared to respond to their mistakes at any time. Quick reactions won't always protect you.

10. Keep extra distance from other drivers if they seem aggressive or drunk.

These are some of the many good habits that safe drivers develop. Have a responsible adult go with you as you practice driving. That person should have a clean driving record. They should help you realize your mistakes so that you don't make them again in the future.

Passing the test is just the beginning. You still need to keep good, safe driving habits to avoid accidents in the future.

You'll be amazed at the great driving resources you can find online. If you're a beginner driver, you'll find all of the tips, techniques, and information you'll need for passing both the written test and road exam! The basic handbook you are given by the DMV doesn't really provide all of the information you need. The resources and tools found on the internet are really helpful.

Getting your driver's license is not that hard. If you would like to pass your driving test without trying so hard, you should get yourself this amazing driving test guide.

I hope this article will help you,

Cheapest Cars to Insure

Insurance prices vary widely. One of the major factors in the price is the car itself. Here is an article by about the cheapest cars to insure.

Top 10 Cheapest Cars To Insure In California For 2011

When an individual is looking for a car to buy in California, it can be tempting to only decide based only on how much the car costs. There are other costs associated with owning a car too, the chief one of which is car insurance. Since high car insurance rates can derail any savings realized by lower monthly car payments, it is important to consider any car's typical costs of insurance before buying it. Some cars prove to be among the cheapest to insure in California. This is based on a variety of factors.

A person's driving record is only the beginning point in deciding how much a particular car's insurance will turn out to be. Every company's rates and the ways that they determine them will vary. Still, a factor that will definitely turn out to be important in the rate game is what kind of car one is driving.

A good thing to consider in looking for the cheapest cars to insure in California is how does the particular vehicle do in the categories of safety features that are included, crash test results, and rates of theft. Cars that come with extra safety features and anti theft devices, that do well in their respective crash test results, and that are not stolen so often will usually be less expensive for an individual to get insured. It makes sense that cars that thieves like, that stand out, and that perform poorly in crash tests will cost significantly more to have insured.

The safest way to determine how much a car will cost the person to insure is to get auto insurance sample rate quotes from well regarded Internet sites. There are a number of these out there such as Kanetix that will provide accurate estimates on the amount in premiums that an individual will likely have to give. Using only the year, make, and model of the vehicle will be sufficient to obtain good working estimates of rates. With an exact car's Vehicle Identification Number, the results will be more exact.

There are three questions that a person can ask to figure out what the rates will be like otherwise. Is the car a sports car that provides incredible performance and great engine power? This will scare insurers into higher rates since they know that drivers will be tempted to take it for joyrides and that any necessary repairs will be expense. Next, how large is the vehicle? While the bigger size of an SUV may give it greater safety ratings, it will also require higher liability coverage since such vehicles create a greater amount of damage in accidents than do smaller cars. Finally, is the car family friendly? Insurers believe that family sedans, minivans, and other family vehicles are less likely to be driven recklessly since they are carrying precious children and family members. These prove to be the least expensive cars to insure and drive because of this.

With that in mind, here are the ten cheapest cars to insure in California:

10. Oldsmobile Bravada
9. Jeep Wrangler
8. Saturn Vue
7. Chevrolet Astro
6. Chevrolet Venture
5. Saturn L Series Wagon
4. Chrysler PT Cruiser
3. Saturn L Series Sedan
2. Pontiac Montana
1. Oldsmobile Silhouette

Getting California Car Insurance can be a difficult process. That is why if you want to speed things up, you should get a variety of quotes from the top leading websites. If you want to save both your time and money, you should consider using Kanetix to find California auto insurance.

Defrosting Your Windshield

During cold weather you may encounter a layer of steam building on the windshield, preventing you from seeing the road. Here is a video that shows you how to get rid of this.

We are in November, so this is very important to remember and use that.

A Long Drive After a Long Time

The interview day is not here yet, but this week I returned to a place I haven't visited for over two months. It was some sort of a job, and they needed me again for a couple of days (and paid much more this time).

The way is still the same, and traffic is still bad. The only perks were meeting some old friends and this time they let me enter with the car. Before that I could only park in the outside parking and walk from there.

I will probably return there every now and then. Hopefully not too much.

If you want to volunteer to be in the first interview, leave a comment.

Have a great weekend!

Seven Common Mistakes

It's Friday again, and it's time to show you some more driving test mistakes to avoid, unless you enjoy retesting over and over.

7 Common Mistakes Made by Student Drivers During a Driver’s Exam

Have you been studying for your driver's exam? Getting a driver's license requires a lot of practice and discipline. You need to know the rules of the road, the ins and outs of a car, AND how to actually drive it. You have to be on the lookout for other drivers on the road. Just making a small mistake can lead to an accident.

When it comes to driving tests, there are dozens of things your examiner will check for. If you make so many mistakes, you won't pass. There are so many different mistakes that you can make.

Here is a list of some of the most common:

1. Don't forget to change lanes when it's time to! Many students are nervous and stay in the same lane all the time. If the car in front of you is going slower than the speed limit, it's okay to pass them up (unless you're in a no-passing area).

2. Don't become TOO cautious. Over caution can be just as bad as neglect. It shows that you are uncomfortable and unconfident. If you're relaxed and calm, you'll do a better job.

3. When you approach an intersection, make sure you're going the appropriate speed. How fast are the other cars going? Maintain the same speed as the other drivers if you need to merge. If you need to come to a stop, make sure you do so BEFORE reaching the intersection. Chances are, your examiner won't take you to a freeway. But if you do go, make sure you merge properly.

4. If there's ice on the road when you take your test, know how to cross it safely. If your vehicle starts to slide, gently brake and go in the direction of the skid. Don't jerk the wheel into the opposite direction or brake all of a sudden.

5. While you should always observe other vehicles, don't let the other people's driving habits distract you. Watch them carefully, but not so much that you lose focus on your own driving. Don't develop "road rage", as you will lose focus on what YOU are doing.

6. Make sure you keep both hands on the wheel! Don't let them slip. Don't grip too tightly. Some of the biggest mistakes student drivers make involve the wheel.

7. Never, ever brake too hard! Learn the differences between hard and soft brakes. Hard braking is okay during emergencies, but most of the time, you will only be doing soft braking. You don't want to throw your passenger all around.

If you avoid these mistakes, you should do a good job on your driving test. Good luck!

Check out some tools, guides, practice tests, and videos to help you pass your driving test. You can learn EVERY SINGLE THING that the examiner will be watching for! Knowing in advance what you'll be tested on will give you more confidence on exam day. Getting your driver's license will be a piece of cake!

Getting your driver's license is not that hard. If you would like to pass your driving test without trying so hard, you should get yourself this amazing driving test guide.

Hopefully this guide will help you during your test.

First Time Driving: Christin

As I say here endlessly, panic and yelling is not a good start for a first time driver. Here is Christin, doing the exact opposite of my suggestions. Watch her not hitting the trash can.

This video was uploaded at the end of October, so Christin still has a long way to go until she gets her license. Hopefully she'll be able to drive more calmly next time.

Good luck!

Crash the Way to the Test

November is finally here, and I want to start it with a funny story. A girl on her way to the driving test confused the gas and brake pedals when she tried to park in the DMV's parking lot. As a result, she entered the building with her car instead of on foot.

According to the police, she created an eighteen square feet hole in the wall, but no one was hurt from this accident.

One of the commenters on the article responded that since it was in South Dakota, she probably passed anyway.

Thoughts on the Road

When I drive alone, two things usually happen. One - I continuously look for a good radio station. Two - my thoughts begin to wander. Usually they go to my business and my driving test guide, but other times also lead to other thoughts.

It's usually OK to wander with your mind during driving, but you should be careful not to be carried away too much. You still need to maintain focus on the road, and losing that can get really serious really fast.

In a week or two I'm planning to start an interview series with bloggers. Do you have any ideas for questions? If you have, feel free to leave them in your comments.

Have a great weekend!

Tips for Preparation

It's that time of the week again. The time for you to get the best possible tips about passing the driving test. Here is another batch.

7 Driving Test Tips to Help You Prepare for Your Examination

Are you planning on taking your driving test anytime soon? Have you been studying and practicing? Approximately 50% of students fail during their first try. Passing a driving exam isn't easy. If it was, the roads would be a lot more dangerous than the already are.

Since they're not easy, you need to study for at least an hour a day. Get as much practice with an experienced adult driver as you can. You can increase your chances of passing if you prepare yourself.

Here are some tips to help you pass the exam so that you can get your driver's license.

1. Try to stay calm before going in for your test. This is an obvious, but many people have trouble with anxiety and nervousness. Do some relaxation techniques such as deep breathing and stretching before going into the DMV. Eat a large breakfast and drink water or juice. Don't drink any caffeine. If you have to have it, drink a minimum amount.

2. Ask friends and family about the testing routes. Find out where you'll be tested beforehand and practice driving around the area. Take note where all of the signs and signals are located.

3. Familiarize yourself with the test car. If you're going to be using your own, or your parents', make sure you know where all of the controls are. Practice driving in it until you are comfortable with it and know it like the back of your hand.

4. Watch online driving videos and read instructional material such as the official driving manual and ebooks. There are also practice tests you can take online. Take the practice tests over and over. If you miss any questions, learn the right answers.

5. When you start your test, remember to do the following: put your seatbelt on, make sure the passenger (the examiner) is wearing a seatbelt, check mirrors, adjust mirrors if necessary, and position your hands correctly on the wheel. The examiner might purposely not put his/her seatbelt on to see if you will notice.

6. Have trouble with parallel parking? You can perfect it by setting up boxes in an abandoned area. You can practice over and over again without fear of messing up and hitting anybody. Even if you do mess up, you'll only hit boxes.

7. During the testing process, always be conscious of the speed limit. Pay attention to the other cars on the road. Also, don't forget to turn your cell phone off!

If you follow these tips, and learn which mistakes to avoid, you should do all right! Common mistakes include everything from forgetting to signal properly to stopping inside an intersection.

You can read driving secrets online. There are plenty of resources and tools available to help new drivers. By using these tools, you'll gain confidence in your ability to drive. You'll be able to pass the examination without any problems!

Getting your driver's license is not that hard. If you would like to pass your driving test without trying so hard, you should get yourself this amazing driving test guide.

I hope this article helped you,
